Mechanical Design Engineer

Reports to: Design Manager

Job Summary:
Mechanical Design Engineer will manage and coordinate activities of employees engaged in the
design and development of new or modified products. In addition, the Mechanical Design
Engineer is expected to act as manager of the design group in an effort to advance the
performance and efficiency of existing products through the improvement of assembly drawings,
component design, and detail drawings using SolidWorks software.

Requirements:

Mechanical Design experience in oilfield services with strong Math skills and experience
working in extremely close tolerances.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Program or Project Leadership role within a
Design environment.
Exposure to inspection of Drill Pipes, Drill Collars, and Heavy Weight Drill Pipe, cross
over and stabalizers.
Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and CAD software. Expertise in
SolidWorks a plus.
Extremely well organized and detail-oriented; willing to work in office and
manufacturing environments.
Must display a level of mechanical aptitude in conceptual design and discussion of design
projects.
