I am a hardworking, energetic, young teacher seeking a position as an elementary education teacher.

I attended the University of Michigan and graduated at the top of my class. While working on my degree I sought
every opportunity I could to gain instructional experience and participate in programs that support children.

I have taught in diverse educational communities, both socio-economically and culturally. I have learned that
students perform at all different levels at different times, thus it is the classroom teacher's job to facilitate the
opportunity to learn and create an environment where each student has a positive learning experience. Given the
opportunity, I will create a positive, structured classroom environment where each of my students can learn and
grow.

It is no secret that teachers impact students. We all remember our favorite teacher, our least favorite teacher, and
the one who helped us through a difficult time. Not only do I want to be an excellent teacher, I want to be the kind
of teacher that is a positive role model and makes a difference in the lives of her students.

I look forward to a long, rewarding career in teaching and hope you will consider my application.
