Managing Expectations And Motivating

Your Children In Their Studies.
Children learn from everything they do. They
are naturally curious, motivated and they want
to explore and discover things around them. If
their explorations bring pleasure or success,
they will want to learn more.
During these formative years, children form
attitudes about learning that will last a lifetime.
With the right sort of supports and motivations
during these years, they will become creative,
adventurous learners throughout their lives.
Children who do not receive this sort of
supports and interactions are likely to have a
much different attitude about learning later in
life.
Managing Expectations as a Parent is equally
importance in the development of our children.
Are we being too hard on ourselves or on our
children? Are we blaming ourselves when our
children are not motivated in their lives? We
know there is no perfect parent or child in the
world, yet we often beat ourselves up when we
or our child makes mistakes.
What happened when expectations are poorly
managed? How can you set reasonable
expectations for yourselves as parents?
How would that affect your relationship with
your children? Typically there are four
negative emotions that could emerge, any one
of which can be destructive in the relationship.
This workshop will expound on how to
motivate your children to excel in their studies
while understanding the importance of
managing your expectations as loving parents.

Breaking Down The Walls Between You And Your

Children - Communicate Effectively With Your Kids.
My son is not listening to me! My daughter
seems to be drafting away from me! These
were some of the responses we hear from
desperate parents about the communication
barriers that they are encountering with their
children.
Are you finding parenting difficult? If so, you
are not alone. Parenting your children in a
successful way requires not only good
communication skills but also adopting
positive communication so that you are able to
effectively connecting with your kids.
However, parents do not automatically possess
the skills necessary to communicate with them
in an effective manner. These effective and
positive communication skills like any other
kind of skills must be learned and acquired.
With positive communication impregnating in
the family, parents can possess a loving,
evolving, healthy relationship with your
children and getting to know him or her as a
person; this is especially important when we
consider that a primary task of successfully
navigating through childhood/adolescence is
not an easy feat. The stage where they are
going through to acquire their identity
formation is uncertain and frustrating. It is
only through caring parents, who are willing to
spend time and energy to work with the teens,
focusing on taking intentional steps towards
forming a meaningful relationship with them
that will make them a remarkable person in the
future. Positive and effective communication
provides a primary mechanism of discerning,
learning, and understanding their unique
personality, characteristics and identity.

MSF Code: INT-PCO1

As we all know, Communication is the basis

of our lives and we would in this day and
age, be handicapped without it. Everyday
we are communicating with each other in
some way or another, be it by using words,
actions or even expressions in conveying a
message. This workshop can help you to

much easier.

Effective Co-Parenting
In Maximizing Your Childrens Potentials.
Children need rules, structures, boundaries and
consistency in the family to become healthy
and well-adjusted adults. However, parents
with different ideologies, schemas and
underlying belief systems possess differences
in opinions about how best to manage and raise
their children, and they often find themselves
saying and doing things not only going against
each other wishes but that they themselves
recognize that it may not be in their childs best
interest. One parent may feel that they would
rather not discipline during their limited time
with the kids, undermining the other parents
limits by allowing breaches of rules at their
home to be seen by the kids as the cool or
understanding parent. Another parent might
choose not to involve the other in important
decisions about the children, sometimes even
neglecting to inform them of decisions made,
under the guise of believing that they will not
cooperate so why involve them? All of this
lack of cooperation and harmony spells
obscured disasters to their children.
As loving parents, we should embrace the
concept of co-parenting and work together
effectively with our spouse in developing the
mindset of excellence in our children.
Essentially this will help us in building up our
skills in understanding our childrens strength
and maximizing their potential. Collaboratively,
parents can collectively brainstorm and share
tips on how to build positive relationships and
how to understand their childrens social and
emotional competencies to help them in
developing greater self-awareness in becoming
a better person in their lives.

MSF Code: INT-POT1

The most important place of becoming an

effective parent is to first determine, what is
the goal you would like to achieve in your
parenting? Knowing what you want to
achieve in your childrens lives will
determine the course of actions you will
undertake. Co-parenting will only be
possible and effective when the goal of both
parents are unified and similar, otherwise it
will become catastrophic in the family and
unable to bring out the best in your children
and maximising their potentials.

Goal Setting:
Bringing Out The Best In Our Children.
Would you like your child to embrace a passive
approach toward life, without any goals in
them and they just live life on a meandering,
day-to-day basis? Would you like to see them
in a few years time from now, that their lives
probably remain the same without significant
improvements in them?
We, as caring parents, share the same sense of
frustration when our child doesn't try hard
enough to accomplish something we know they
are perfectly capable of. What can we possibly
do to help them? How can we foster a can-do
attitude in them so that they possess a clear
sense of purpose, becoming self-motivated and
self-assured, knowing the importance of
helping others and themselves, and aware that
they are at the controls of their own lives?
The answer to all the above worries is to teach
them to set goals while they are still young. In
this process they will experience growth and
maturity as a person. By just spending a few
minutes to articulate some aspirations in their
mind, they will experience more progress in
their life a year from now than compared to if
they dont.
Learning how to set goals and accomplish
them is a valuable skill that will serve your
child in all aspects of their lives, from their
emotional and physical health to their social
relationships as well. Teaching them how to do
this will ensure that they have the skills to
become happy and successful adults.

According to Bill Copeland, The trouble

with not having a goal is that you can spend
your life running up and down the field and

This workshop will teach you to help your

The Secrets Of Success For Our Children:

Habits Of Highly Effective Families.
Human are creatures of habits. Sometimes, we
wonder whether we possess the habits or the
habits possess us. Over the centuries, parents
have been brainwashed into believing that the
best way to raise children is to exert control by
using size and experience to their advantage.
The basic premise is that, if we choose to twist
our children's arms into becoming the adults
we want them to be rather than coach and
guide them to making choices for themselves,
we're setting them up to be like us: externally
directed.

MSF Code: INT-PDP1

In contemporary world, parenting is never an

easy task. To be an effective parent, we need
to be humble and learn the necessary strategies
to be an effective parent and of course, to
ensure that our child grows up into a healthy
and responsible human being by constantly
showering love and enforcing discipline to
ensure that they receive the best things in their
lives. This task is tough, demanding and time
consuming, however, with good habits,
effective parents can make this challenging job
so much easier.

In an age of permissive parenting, are we

focused more on our children's feelings than
what's good for them? To be an effective
parent, we need to learn to possess good
habits that will help us in the journey of
parenting. This parenting talk will highlight
many good habits that both parents and
children can adopt to make them effective in
the quest of their lives.

Parental involvement in their kids' lives can go

two ways: It can be helpful and effective, or
harmful and counter-productive. The effective
kind involves planning and patience, flexibility
and trust, and it often creates a successful
parent-child relationship. The opposite type of
involvement features interference, suspicion
and lack of respect, and can easily damage
invaluable family bonds.

Building Positive Self-Esteem In Our Children

An Important Building Block In Our Childrens Lives.
Self esteem is about how we think and feel
about ourselves. It is about having confidence
and believing in our own abilities. It is also
your child's passport to lifetime mental health
and social happiness. It's the foundation of a
child's well-being and the key to success as an
adult. At all ages, how you feel about yourself
affects how you act.
People with high self esteem are not limited by
their weaknesses. Instead, they are often
motivated to find out how they can improve
themselves in these areas. Such individuals are
also driven to learn new skills and believe that
they can make a difference to others around
them.
Much of a child's self-image comes not only
from what the child perceives about herself,
but from how she thinks others perceive her.
Do you reflect positive or negative images to
your child? Do you give her the idea that she's
fun to be with? That her opinions and desires
matter to you? That her behavior pleases you?
When you give your child positive reflections,
he learns to think well of himself.
By nurturing a positive view of our children,
they can develop a healthy self-concept and
high self-esteem that gives them the
confidence to deal with challenges, pursue
lofty goals and take steps to lead a meaningful
life. It will also affect how they behave at
home and at school and thus have an impact on
their relationships with the family, friends and
relatives.

Building good and positive self esteem in

our children is crucial and cannot be left to

Maximising My Childs Potential

By Cultivating A Positive Belief Of Themselves.
Would you like to see your child grow and
develop optimally into their respective
potentials? Do you realize that we, as parents,
have the responsibility to groom and equip
them early in their lives so that they
can achieve their desired outcomes and
develop their potential to their fullest?
It is every parent's dream to see one's child
become successful in one way or another. That
is why while still young, children's skills
should already be discovered and developed.
Some think that this can only be done by
enrolling their children in centres that promise
to mold the talents of their kids, but is that the
only way? Developing your child's talents can
be done somewhere familiar wherein your
child will totally feel comfortable and at ease where else, but your own home! It is easier for
children to be themselves when around the
people whom they are familiar with, like their
parents. The presence and support of parents
play a big role in the development of a child's
skills.
One of the greatest attributes a child can
possess is the belief that they have potential.
But a child will only believe about himself,
what his parent believes about him. No matter
what happens in any given day, if we think our
child has potential, we are more likely to work
to develop that potential with them. This
workshop will provide you with exceptional
insights into how your child can be special and
different when we help them to maximize his/
her innate potential.

Raising A High Emotional Intelligent Child.

Emotional Intelligent is the ability to
understand one's own feelings, through
accurately identifying and assessing our own
emotions that allows us to be able to
successfully controlling our own emotions.
Research have shown that High EQ is related
to success in relationships, study and job
performance. While IQ accounts for 20% of
job success, EQ was shown to account for 80%
of it.
Emotional Intelligence links strongly with
concepts of love and spirituality: bringing
compassion and humanity to work, and also to
'Multiple Intelligence' theory which illustrates
and measures the range of capabilities people
possess, and the fact that everybody has a
value.

Reducing Mental Fatigue And Helping Our

Children To Cope With Their Exam Stress.
In todays world, exams are an unfortunate
necessity. There are a lot of pressures on our
children for them to do well in their exam.
Exam stress becomes a big part of our
everydays lives. When our children are
stressed about their exam - it means that they
really care about the result that they will get.
This can be a good thing if it motivates and
pushes them to work harder for their result.
However, if the exam stress is not managed
properly, it could have adverse effects on them.
Most students are capable of dealing with the
stress of school and life if they know how to
and if it is recognised as such. However, if no
one guides them and they dont manage the
stress well, they may get into unhealthy
relationships or habits that can be detrimental
to their emotional, social, mental and physical
well being. These healthy or unhealthy stress
management habits will most likely shape
them in their future adult lifestyle.
As a parent, you can't protect your children
from stress but you can help them develop
healthy ways to cope with stress and solve
everyday problems. Surveys reveal that while
teens may not initiate a conversation about
what's bothering them, they do want their
parents to reach out and help them cope with
their troubles. However, it's not always easy
for parents to know what to do for children
who's feeling stressed. This parenting talk will

can help our children to cope with their exam
stress effectively so that they can be efficacious

How Can Parents Coach Their Children

To Manage Their Anger More Effectively?
Why is my child always so angry? Why is he
unable control his explosive emotions? What
can parent do effectively as a parent coach so
that he can manage his emotions without losing
it.
A lot of parents struggled in controlling their
children emotions and often they are to no
avail. Many parents were at wits end, not
knowing what to do to help their children as
the outbursts were ruining the very relationship
they were trying to build and protect.
Anger is like the mercury in a thermometer.
When left unchecked the intensity of the
emotion increases from frustration to anger and
then to other things like rage and bitterness. As
the intensity builds, people shut themselves
off from others and relationships begin to close
down. Having a plan to deal with anger can
limit the intensity and prevent much of the
destruction anger tends to cause.
Most families dont have a plan for anger. They
somehow just continue on, hoping things will
get better. However, unresolved issues fester.
Many families dont resolve their anger, but
just keep trying to start over. Starting over may
be helpful at times, but it tends to ignore the
problem rather than addressing it.
If you are having such struggles in your family,
then this talk will help you to deal with these
situations effectively. You will learn that none
of the family members need to remain silent
and helpless when emotions run high and
allowing things to be out of complete control.

Helping My Kids To Deal With Conflicts

A recent survey reveals that kids face conflict
on a regular basis. The conflicts can occur with
their brothers and sisters, friends or classmates.
Some may even have conflicts with their own
parents. Even best friends and close siblings
don't always think alike or want the same
thing.
Although having different opinions is not a big
deal, but when disagreements lead to heated
arguments with the portrayal of unkind
words or behaviours, tempers can flare
and feelings can get hurt consequentially.
Then this can be very disastrous and
unhealthy in their lives and affecting other
people around them. Relationship can be torn
apart and they can become hateful and
acerbic towards other people whom they
have conflict with.
As children grow, parents will often
discover that some conflicts are relatively
easy to work through, while others will
befuddle you. This is normal. Whats
important is to address conflicts as they
arise and work them through with your
kids in peaceful ways.
This insightful workshop will help
you to teach your children on how to
resolve conflicts constructively. Once they
learn how to do things like respect
differences and reach compromises with
others, they will have these skills to draw

Developing our children social intelligence by

helping them to cope with peer pressures.
Peer pressure arises from an individuals need
to have the approval and acceptance of his or
her equals. It is a behavioural pattern that
begins in childhood and continues into
adulthood. However, there is probably no one
time in an individuals life when the influence
of peer pressure is stronger than in
adolescence. At the same time that teenagers
are struggling to declare independence from
their parents, they are striving to win the
acceptance and support of friends and
classmates. They are, in fact, struggling to
belongto become part of a group that will
help provide security and an emerging sense of
identity. This quest for peer approval motivates
much of an adolescents behavior.
Often, peer pressure can be a positive force in a
teenagers life. The advice of friends can help
teens make the right decision in a tough
situation. And theres nothing necessarily
wrong with trying to conform; belonging to a
group can help adolescents begin the
complicated process of separating from their
parents and developing their own, increasingly
independent identities. However, when
bowing to peer pressure means betraying
personal beliefs and values, peer pressure
becomes a negative force.
It is important for parents to teach our children
to develop their social intelligence so that they
can be wise in their selection of friends around.
In this workshop, practical tips will be shared
on why children usually succumb to unhealthy
peer pressures and what we can possibly do to
help them to learn and navigate successfully
through this phase of their lives.

life of your 21st Century child, then this
workshop is for you. The talk will share with
you how you can effectively building lasting
relationship with your love one in helping them
and raising them up as effective individuals.
Quoted from a famous poem:
Your children are not your children. They are
the sons and daughters of Lifes longing for
itself. They come through you but from you,
And though they are with you yet they belong
not to you.
For they have their own thoughts. You may
house their bodies but not their souls, for their
souls dwell in the house of tomorrow, which
you cannot visit, not even in your dreams.
You may strive to be like them, but seek not to
make them like you. For life goes not
backward nor tarries with yesterday.
You are the bows from which your children as
living arrows are sent forth. The archer sees
the mark upon the path of the infinite, and he
bends you with his might that his arrows may
go swift and far.
Let your bending in the archers hand be for
gladness; for even as he loves the arrow that
flies, so he loves also the bow that is stable.
