My First Day at University

Well, I can deduce my first day I was waiting all the years after finishing secondary join
my university of choice (American University in the Emirates). I was very nervous as I knew this
was my first step towards my career as well as life. The university is in Dubai. My first day in
the university was wonderful.
I did not know how to take down and up the streets to my class. I was lost several times
to a point I had to ask other students about the class or the building I was supposed to attend my
classes. The first day was composed of very nice procedures of registration and introduction to
various classes, which I forget soon after we left the class.
I approached one of the students standing outside the class. It was so luck after knowing
that he was one of my classmate and especially a member of the same group as denoted in the
course reports. We were able to introduce ourselves, his name was Ali Mariba. We went to class
together when the time for the class started. All my classmates were very quiet, nobody talked to
each other.
During the first day, the lecturer arrived early. She started the class after well all had
introduced themselves. Each one was given a minute to introduced himself/herself. The class
comprised of students who come from different areas of the country as well as others were
international students.
In the evening after class, all first year students had to attend a party denoted as
Freshers party. The party was one of its own as almost all the first year students attended it.
Funny, this party was also attended by our lecturers who introduced themselves before the party
had started. I therefore, consider my first day at the university a memorable one.
