science to improve the home life, freedom of the home from the dominance of things and their due
subordination to ideals, simplicity in material surroundings which most free the spirit for the more important

Classroom Objectives:
The Student will

Use technology to communicate ideas, demonstrate understanding, and


document learning.

Utilize varied materials and resources to expand life skills and diverse
situations.

Listen to the instructor and peers to gain and apply knowledge.

Grading:
90-100 = A
80-89=B
70-79=C
60-69=D
59 and below =F
It is permissible to obtain notes, complete labs, or other hands-on work during lunch period when I
am available to help and supervise; however, the student must communicate with the instructor in
advance to make arrangements. All work must be completed and zeros are not permissible. *Makeup work procedure is stated in the student handbook.
You must be in the classroom ready for class when the bell rings, or you are considered
tardy. Each student with zero unexcused tardies in a Grading Quarter may be awarded 10
points of extra credit.
Students must have permission from the instructor to leave the room for the restroom,
water, or to go to their locker for forgetting materials for class, etc.
Work completed must be legible, neat, and include the students name, name of assignment,
and the date.

Guidelines:
Be prepared for class each day with notebook, paper, pencil, iPad, folder,
hairnet/hat/hair band in assigned tub, and any other necessary materials
as prescribed by instructor in advance. *$10 minimum applied to textile
projects.
Be considerate and respectful of peers, property, and instructor.
Absolutely no disruptive behavior, inappropriate language or gestures is
allowed in the FACS classroom.
Any form of technology will be used with permission only.
Students are requested to raise their hand and be called on in order to
respect the learning of everyone in the room.
Above all, respect the instructor and classmates at all times, and follow
all directions.
