Duties included working alongside physicians and mid-level providers 20 hours
per week to document elements of the patient encounter, organize ancillary medical data,
and facilitate communication between ED doctors and other ED staff.
Kitchen Staff, Pizza Pi Vegan Pizzeria
Seattle, WA, July 2014 to October 2014
Duties included preparation of a variety of vegan meals, customer service,
management of a cash register, and maintenance of a clean kitchen environment.

Duties included working as a resource, mentor, program planner, and peer
mediator for a cohort of historically underrepresented high school students as they
completed the two week program, College Readiness Scholars Institute.

Duties included facilitation of monthly floor meetings, peer mediation/crisis

Producer of Crowdfunding and Social Media, Team Demo Hugo, June 2015 to present
Team Demo Hugo is a group of UW faculty and students that were brought
together by Honors Writer-in-Residence, Dr. Frances McCue. The teams goal is to

produce a full-length documentary about the demolition of Seattle-based writing center,


the Richard Hugo House.
Marketing Coordinator, Grey Matters Journal, September 2013 to June 2015
Grey Matters is a neuroscience journal that is produced by undergraduate students
at UW. Its mission is to enhance scientific literacy, develop accomplished science
communicators, and grow the neuroscience community. The journals website can be

Student Member, Queer Student Commission, September 2013 to May 2014
The Queer Student Commission is a group of students at UWs Q Center who
come together to address queer issues on campus and enhance the undergraduate
experience of LGBTQ+ students at UW.
University of Delaware
Tenor Voice, MelUDees acappella, September 2011 to May 2013
The MelUDees are a co-ed acappella group at UD with 18 seats available by
audition only. The group arranges its own music, and it performs popular songs on
campus, at local charity events, and the annual International Championship of Collegiate
Acappella.
Member, Environmental Sustainability Committee, September 2012 to May 2013
As a resident assistant, I was able to participate in this committee of staff
members from UDs Office of Residence Life and Housing. We planned new ways to
enhance the sustainable practices in residence halls at the university.
General Body Member, Haven, September 2011 to May 2012
Haven is UDs LGBTQ+ student organization that meets every week to discuss
queer issues on campus and in the world. Haven also hosts LGBT-friendly events on
campus throughout the year.
COMMUNITY SERVICE:
English Second Language Tutor, Refugee Womens Alliance: 60 hours. 2014-15
At the ReWA facility in SeaTac, WA, I worked with a class of ~15 students to
tutor them in English. Students were primarily from areas including Somalia, Kenya, and
Iraq.
Winter Volunteer, Christiana Hospital: 100 hours. 2012-13
During the month of January in 2012 and 2013, I participated in Christiana
Hospitals winter volunteer program for college students. I was stationed in a Transfer
Surgical Unit for most of my time, and I was also able to volunteer in the Surgicenter
during 2013.
Relay for Life Team Captain, Appoquinimink High School: 50 hours. 2011

After graduating high school, I volunteered as the team captain for


Appoquiniminks Relay for Life team. I coordinated with other students to support the
American Cancer Society during the overnight event in Middletown, DE.
