Steps for integrating all the existing systems of Health

Department:
At present health department is running 14 systems
which are
1. HMIS
2. SMIS
3. HIPMS
4. SMS
5. FPS
6. Global Search
7. BUDGET
8. Loan Management
9. TMS
10.
SMS Pull Service
11.
File Tracking System
12.
RBSK
13.
CE
14.
NVCS
Our goal is to integrate these 14 existing systems into a
centralized one and also integrate the HMIS and SMIS. To
meet this goal we need to follow the following steps:
Integration of HMIS-SMIS:
Detailed System Study of HMIS and SMIS including codebase and
database We need to study the application coding structure and
database structure in details for proper understanding.
Analyze the database and both the application for integration
Create Application Data Flow Design we need to design the
integration point so that the information can flow properly between HMIS
and SMIS.

Create Database Design - According to the application flow the


database should be designed including tables, views, stored procedures
etc.

Create Centralized User Role Management for


each existing systems:
Study of user role management of each existing systems Every
existing system has its own user role management systems. We need to
study those user role management systems to implement the centralized
user role management. After implementing the centralized one the login
function for each and every system will be changed.
