Relationship Normalization Table

This table shows logical relationships types that you can create using Common Data Model (CDM) 8.1.00 relationship classes. Most relationship classes can represent several logical relationships types, some of which relate different CI classes. The Name attribute specifies which logical relationship type an
instance represents.
For example, to represent an installed software patch you should create an instance of BMC_Component to relate instances of BMC_Software and BMC_Patch. You should then set the Name attribute of the relationship to PRODUCTPATCH (see row 120). To represent an affinity dependency you should
create an instance of BMC_Dependency to relate two instances of BMC_System and set the Name attribute of the relationship to AFFINITYDEPENDENCY (see row 127).
TIP: To make your data compatible with future versions of BMC Software products, use only the values in this table when populating the Name attribute of relationships. Future products will enforce these values.
