Signifying the Lormanians continuing socio-cultural cultural development, Carpe
Diem, Art Mo, Lorma Taddek Chorale, Lorma Table Tennis Club are officially added to the long list of the college clubs and organizations during the Induction and Leadership Training-Seminar held at Audio-Visual Room last August 8. With the slogan Lets seize the day, Carpe Diem is an academic organization which aims to hone the students abilities in both intellectual and artistic capabilities. It is composed of three inner circles namely Center of Creative Production, Language and Literature Guild, and Society United Mathematician. On the other hand, the Art Mo as its name implies is a multi-collective association of artfully inclined students. According to its Tagapangulo Angel Mertola, this club sole purpose is to showcase the Lormanians passion for craftsmanship. The official dance troupe of the college, Lorma Taddek, had also recruited musicallyinclined student who will muster the new Lorma Taddek Chorale. Along with these organizations, a total of 30 student associations were inducted during the program. Eight organizations were recognized under the banner of the College of Management and Accountancy which includes Junior People Management Association of the Philippines, Young Market Masters, BM Incorporated, and Federation of Active Students in Tourism. Others are Junior Executives, Junior Financial Executive, Junior Hoteliers Association, and Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants. In addition, the College of Medical Laboratory Science had also internal clubs such as Philippine Society of Medical Technology Students, and Red Cross Youth Council. Similarly, the College Pharmacy had exclusive pharmacy students organization called Junior Philippine Pharmacist Association. Excellent Leaders in Teacher Education, and Psyche Circle of the College of Arts and Sciences, Gameng Ensemble, Foreign Student Organization, Lorma Martial Arts Club, and Young Men Christian Association were also recognized. The Sangguniang Mag-aaral ng Lorma and their subordinate student body organizations were likewise inducted. A leader should serve his member for him to be followed, emphasized Ryan P. Santos, the speaker of the program. He also discussed about the essentials of planning and how to execute a plan properly.
