Physical Education for student improvement

Some people wondered that Why school should have a Physical activities class?
Physical education can have many benefits but many dont know. Not only physical
education makes students exercise more, it also has other beneficial effects that needful for
students. Research of the Physical Activity council emphatically tell that 41.3 percent of
American who didnt have Physical Education class during high school is inactive today and
that why many people are having obesity and sedentary crisis (benefits of P.E., 2014).
Physical education class is very important because Physical activities make the student have a
strong body and mind, improved social skills and build up the society, and also help to adapt
performance and academic skills.

The first reason to learn Physical education is because it gives student a strong body
and mind, The health benefits of regular exercise and physical activity are hard to
ignore.(7 benefits, 2015). The University of Cambridge states 676,000 deaths each year
was due to inactivity, lack of exercise is responsible for twice as many early deaths as
obesity (Spring, 2015). By the National association for sport and Physical Education
recommends 60 minutes a day for exercise ,or 225 minutes per week for middle and high
school students (how physical activity affect, 1989). Physical activities decreased lower
risk of obesity (Bliss, 2013), and were able to curb the weight gain (the benefits, 2008). The
another research of Harvard university told that walking for 2 hours a week can decrease the
chances of having a heart attacked, developing diabetes, and beneficial for disease prevention
such as heart diseases, blood pressure and undesirable blood lipid patterns that because being
active boosts good cholesterol and decreases unhealthy triglycerides ,that keeps your blood
flowing smoothly, which decreases your risk of cardiovascular diseases(7 benefits, 2015).
Regular physical activity is also important for building and maintaining healthy bones,

muscles and joints (Nikpour, 2011) especially in children because theyre in the age that body
build a structure and theyre also prevent the insidious loss of bone that know as osteoporosis
(the benefits, 2008). Moreover, better fitness levels also helps to control feelings of anxiety
and depression that help student to prove the problems of stress and releasing tension (7
benefits,2015). The age of study is the time that all students should strengthen their body to
developed and be healthy, physical activity is the one factor that support their to have a good
health by students can get it through Physical education.

The another reason is because the physical activities teach students how to live in the
communities and to build up the strong society. When parents send the their children into
school, they didnt want student to learn core subject only, but also to learn how to live in the
society and improved their social skills that is necessary in the reality. By the way they can be
learned through the physical activities, because Physical activities are given the holistic
development in children and teenagers, theyll learn the importance of honestly, fair play, and
adherences the rules from the rules given (sport, education, and child,2013), which make
student get the concept and use in the reality. Moreover physical activities also made the
students respect to themselves and friends when they are together, learn how to have a
teamwork, leadership, and also how to improved their performance when they are join team
for activities with others, those things will help the students to live with their friend and
others better, they will know what are the suitable thing. According to Nikpour (2011), The
school is the powerful tool to bridge gaps in communities and avoid racism in the society,
because when you are doing physical activities they wont separate the different, the students
play as a team. The Physical activities also encourages other healthy behaviors, such as
avoiding alcohol and drug use (Nikpour, 2011), that those two things bring many social
problems such as bullying in teenagers. Moreover, the Physical activities give the people

hope to live for tomorrow and the future, for example in The New Orleans, there was the
Hurricane Katrina, the country was destroyed, and many people lost their family and friends.
On this event people there lost their faith and hoping, the leader use sport to rebuild the entire
communities, so there bound around the football franchise, known as New Oreleans Saints,
the results was more than build up the people hope and country but they also won Lombardi
Trophy (Nikpour, 2011). Giving the Physical Education class for student for today is
importance to set up good children and the strong communities for the present and future.

Lastly, Physical activities can improve students academic and performance skills,
according to Basch (2010), Exercise directly impacts the behavior and development of the
brain. And many researches can be conclude that more times in Physical Education also
improved grade and standardize test score. By one of the research from Pivarnik (2010) a
colleagues at the American College of Sports Medicine discovered that 317 students in the
school who are in the highest Fitness Scores also have nearly 30 percent higher than the leastfit group for standardized test, and the least-fit group also have around 13-20 percent lower
score for the core subject compared to their classmate (as sited in Bliss, 2013). From the
another research were on 3 Million students in California and Texas also showed that The
student in the Low Fitness score group get the lower score in SAT, according to the chart the
average score in the highest fitness score group took more than 105 score better than the
student who are in the lowest group (Benefits of P.E., 2014). They can be proved that
Physical activities are really useful for student to adapt their academic, Dr.Basch (2010.)
explained that after exercise the Oxygen will be increased to flow in the brain, make the brain
more active and also increase brain neurotransmitters, that related to the brain-dedrived
neutrophins which support the neurons in the areas for learning, memory, and developing
skills. In addition the sports also bring up concentration, attention and better behavior in

classroom which affects to the students score too. And one of the importance things is that
Physical activities provide motivation for improved their academic by themselves (Bliss,
2013). Physical activities are directly help students to learn everything inside and outside of
school, So Physical Education should be support as one of the main class.

In conclusion, If student get enough Physical activities the students will improved
their body fitness, societies, and academic. The school is the best place to develop students in
several ways, teach student to learning the life which they can learn directly through Physical
Activities. So the school should support student to have Physical Education class. The student
can be better in the future if they and the society will be stronger if every students starting to
improve themselves by Physical Education for Today.
