ABSTRACT The hydrothermal activity in Cupunagara Subang West Java was resulted altered of
wall rocks, quartz vein and sulphides mineralization. In the field, pervasive alteration zonations
observed from Quartz vein zone outward to silicification, propylitic zone, then overprint by argillic
zone. The principle sulphides are pyrite, sphalerite, chalcopyrite, galena, and electrum of Au Ag.
These sulphides contain within propylitic, silicified, argillic and quartz vein zone in very fine to
medium grain. The propylitic zone composed by chlorite + carbonate + quartz + sericite epidot
Kfeldspart containing pyrite, sphalerite, chalcopyrite, galena. Silicified zone contains pyrite,
sphalerite, chalcopyrite and galena. While remnant of quarzt vein contains pyrite, sphalerite,
chalcopyrite, and galena. Argillic zone composed by illite, kaolinite, halloysite, monmorilonite and
microquartz containing pyrite, sphalerite, chalcopyrite, and goethite. Exolution texture of pyrite
with sphalerite showing in propylitic, silicified and quartz vein zone. Whereas replacement pyrite
by goethite found in argillic zone. Based on chemical analyze of some rock sample resulted that
Zn, Mo and Au relatively more content in the propylitic alteration zone, presumed that latest stage
of hydrothermal process along argillic alteration had been leached and transported these metal
elements from quartz vein zone. Key Word : Paragenesis, mineralization, alteration, hydrothermal,
