CIVIL DISOBEDIENCE

An article that I had found was the protest of Gandhi. On March 12, 1930, Indian
independence leader Mohandas Gandhi begins a defiant march to the sea in protest of
the British monopoly on salt, his boldest act of civil disobedience yet against British rule
in India. Gandhi led his followers in non-violent protests that forced the British to turn
over power to the Indian people. The non-violent protests helped in the long run. He
showed that he wasnt weak and that he could change Indias government. His actions
worked and he got India to be a Democracy.
