Come explore the outdoors! Get dirty, get wet,


but most of all have fun! Children will get to
decorate their own camp shirt. A snack will be
provided each day. Participants are responsible
for their own lunches. A health form must be
completed prior to the start of camp.
Camp fee $50.

Littles: 6-8 year olds


Middles: 9-10 year olds

Warblers for Beginners

Confused by all the colorful, tiny birds fluttering
around you? We will be discussing the identifying
characteristics of the common warblers currently
migrating through the area. (dn)
Bird Banding and Brunch
Saturday, May 23 or May 30

Creek Bend Farm: Wilson Nature Center
Start your morning with the birds! This is your
chance to see migrating birds up close! They will be
identified, banded and released. Afterwards, head
back to the Wilson Nature Center for a light brunch!

Learn about bird banding research in a wetland area
and visit the oldest duck club in North America.

Canoe with Eagles

Meet at the Countryside Park: Main Office
Enjoy a canoe trip along Green Creek and through
Decoy Marsh in search of bald eagles. Along the way
discuss the history of our area marshes. Must register
with a partner. Registration required by calling

North Coast Inland Trail-Clyde
Calling all hikersour goal is to hike all 26 miles
of the North Coast Inland Trail! Its a lot of hiking
and a lot more fun as a group. We have incentives &
free gifts to keep you motivated. Bring your favorite
device for journaling so we can chronicle each mile!

personal with Tom Kashmer. Traps will be checked
and the fish will be identified and documented before

Wolf Creek Canoe Launch
An important indicator of our environments health is
water quality, which can be determined by surveying
the creatures that live in the river. We will be walking
into the Sandusky River, dress to get wet. No opentoed shoes. A change of clothes and towel are

Wild Turkeys

Ringneck Ridge

Wild Turkeys are a conservation success story for
Ohio! Explore turkey habitat as we discover more
about these once extirpated species. Other groundnesting birds will also be discussed. (dh)

Sugar Creek Reserve
Meet in the parking lot of Schedel Arboretum to
caravan to our newest park. Well explain the history
of this park as we wander through the riparian
corridor. Hiking trails are not established, please wear
pants, long sleeves & sturdy shoes. Insect repellent is

there is no admission for the beach for the entire day!
Come back in the evening to enjoy a Movie in the

Canoeing 101

This is your chance to learn how to canoe during this
4 night class. We provide the canoes, paddles & life
jackets. We will use the shallow entrance of the beach
for easier entrance in & out of the canoes. Learn
parts of a canoe, proper use of paddles, agility, safety,
including a tip test, and fun games. Please bring a
change of clothes, bathing suits, towels & shoes that
can get wet. Must be at least 12 years old. (dh)

Yep, its all about spiders!! Learn basic spider info,
what kinds are found in Ohio as well as their life

First Annual Kids Bird Banding

Come discover what its like to be a migrating bird!
Participants will be captured, weighed and measured. Everyone will receive their own unique
