EEEB373: MICROPROCESSOR SYSTEMS

SEMESTER I 2015/2016

ASSIGNMENT 1
Each group will consist of two (2 ) students. You may choose your own members.
Task
1. Write a program to count the number of elements which are smaller than D15. The array is stored in
data memory locations 0x10-0x2F. Create your own array database.
[20 marks]
2. Write a program to find the smallest non-zero element stored in an array of 8-bit elements that are in the
program memory. The array label is MyNum and there are 20 elements in the array. Create your own array
database.

What you need to submit?


The assembly program for each task. Make sure that the assembly program is properly formatted and
commented. For both tasks, take snapshots of your created array database and the final results and append
in your work as a proof of successful simulation.

**Plagiarism: If any two or more groups are caught having the exact same array database or the
assembly program, all the involved group members will be penalized.

Please submit the hardcopy to my room at BN-1-063 by 13/8/2015 (Thursday), 5pm. Late
submissions will not be entertained.
