PRODUCT DESCRIPTION / SUMMARY

The PorToGo is a state of the art, portable comfort station that may be utilized in the times where
one may not have access to a toilet in the comfort of their own homes, such as being amidst a
natural disaster, which would unfalteringly prompt one to evacuate away from their state of
residence in search for safer shelter. Portable, convenient, and easy-to-assemble - the PorToGo
consists of a high flat pack toilet, an attachable tent for privacy, and it's main feature: a waste
disposal system which includes a biodegradable drawstring bag for disposal of the wastes,
ensuring the convenient maintenance of its cleanliness. It is foldable, compact, and ready to take
with you on whatever situation you may encounter, making it universally transportable.

It features a disposable,
biodegradable drawstring bag that
can easily be attached and
detached to the underside of the
toilet.

The bag stores the secreted

wastes, making it easy to dispose
of it. The bag can be replaced
after every use for sanitary
purposes.

Amidst a disaster, you wouldn't

have the time or resources to be
able to properly clean the toilet.
This is where our bags come into
place by eliminating that need. In
turn, sicknesses can be prevented
as and we won't be exposed to
bacteria that come with the waste.

COMPETITIVE EDGE
One of the most overlooked problems that people would experience in the face of disasters is how
they would be able to dispose of their wastes. What most people think about during disasters is if
they have enough food or water, and the like but people do not consider the fact that people
could be stuck in one particular place for days on end without having a place to dispose of their
wastes. This could cause even more complications in their situation especially because people
care about the privacy, and would like to save themselves, and their dignity in times when nature
calls. For sanitary reasons, we have decided to come up with a product that would be able to solve
this problem.

The product would be very reasonably priced considering its quality and long lasting use to
withstand many years of preparation of any coming disaster. Additionally, the PorToGo cannot only
be used during disasters, but it could also be used by the less fortunate people on an everyday
basis who cannot afford good-quality toilets to be installed in their homes as it may not have the
plumbing framework that will allow them to have a real, porcelain toilet.

LONG LASTING POWER AND DURABILITY

Our product will be of light-weight and durable material so that it can be used for an extended
period of time without having to go out and buy replacements. It has a sturdy plastic body (Rigid
PVC), a durable and sturdy material for the PorToGo as a whole, touch enough to uphold itself.
This shows it can hold weights that come up to approximately 250 pounds, meaning anyone of any
weight can make use of the PorToGo regardless of its compactness. The PorToGo can withhold
itself in the long run through many different disasters, making it usable for along time.

EASY SANITARY MAINTENANCE AND PREVENTION OF HEALTH RISKS

When a disaster occurs, one of the biggest risks one could face is the state of their health due to
the destructed wasteland a calamity such as an earthquake, typhoon, volcanic eruption, and the
like can cause to our surroundings. In times like these, one can easily continue to maintain their
proper hygiene with the PorToGo. Unlike other portable toilets, the waste just rests at the bottom of
the toilet inside a chemical bucket or container to hold the secreted toxins. This makes it hard to
maintain its clinics amidst a disaster as one would not have the time and resources to be able to
keep sanitizing the toilet without being exposed face-to-face with the waste. That is where our state
of the art waste disposal system comes into hand. We have biodegradable drawstring bags
attached of the underside of the toilet seat to catch and seal the toxins so that one may avoid
contact with it whatsoever, thus keeping the PorToGo itself and ourselves free from any

unnecessary bacteria exposure that could cause multiple health problems that could have been
prevented effortlessly with our product.

PORTABILITY AND ASSURANCE OF ONE'S PRIVACY

A typical portable toilet has a surrounding cubicle around it to keep one's privacy, however, due to
that piece, it would require large vehicles to be able to transport a handful of it. Amidst a disaster
when bringing these to evacuation centers, there may be barriers that would limit this from
happening as the disasters may cause road blockage due to the destruction caused, and
government officials will have difficulty in bringing these to the people to form an area for proper
waste excretion. This is where the PorToGo comes in to place its ability to fold into a compact
form makes it portable, easy to transfer and move around in case of emergencies no matter where
you are. Distribution to victims of the disasters would be more trouble-free, as well. The PorToGo

As the surrounding walls of a typical portalet are one of the main hindrances that limit its mobility,
these does not mean that the PorToGo still cannot provide privacy with its small size. The PorToGo

after attached, can be lifted up on all sides to cover the lower torso around a person when using
the PorToGo.

TARGET MARKET
There is not one who would not be able to benefit from utilizing the PorToGo, as secreting the
toxins from our bodies is a natural part of our daily lives as humans - making it a necessity, a need,
an essential. Therefore, our product becomes universally available to people of all ages,
regardless of their age or social status. Families, professionals, students, and individuals would all
be able to partake in the undertaking of this product.

The PorToGo company plans to have it sold in hardware and home improvement retail chains,
namely, Ace Hardware, True Value, Home Depot, and supermarkets for more convenience and
accessibility. The PorToGo, though it may be highly beneficial to all, considering its cost range, it
would be more likely targeted (but not limited to) those in the middle to upper class. To assure its

widespread distribution and make it utilized by all without compromising the companys profit or
quality of product by decreasing price ranges to make it more affordable by all, its universal
availability to everyone will be ensured through the government or barangay officials as they are
targeted to become prospective investors to purchase it in bulk and distribute it to the more
developing and rural areas with lesser means. Its proper allocation will be during situations such as
pre-disaster (preparation), and as well as post-disaster.

PRICING
Our product, The PorToGo, has the ability to be brought to places within short notice of an
emergency or natural disaster, and has the absolute advantage of being easy and relatively quick
to manufacture and it is sold at less than half of some other types of portable toilets which may
cost up to P4,000.00. Other than the cost of materials, factors such as employees' salary, rental
and transportation were also taken into account. A PorToGo is priced at Php 1,908.25. The parts
that the PorToGo consists of, are several reliable components that all contribute to the efficiency
and cost of the product. The materials in this product are the following: Wheels, toilet seat, multiple
biodegradable plastic, Rigid PVC plastic and a metal tube, in which the materials cost P195.00,
P279.68, P9.35, P830.00 and P1.98 respectively.

CAPITAL INVESTMENT
We'll be investing a total of P4,000,000 for the initial capital investment for the PorTaGo that will
cover expenses for up to 2 years.

o P600,000 will be used for the initial production of the first batch, as this amount contains the raw
materials needed in creating the PorTaGo.

o P900,000 will be used for producing the first prototypes (3D models of the PorTaGo) as well as
funding for the research of materials to be used in our product.

o P1,000,000 for labor cost of the employees per month which we will be hiring (3D model maker
for printing the model and creating the soft copy of the model, workers for the machinery needed to
produce, and transportation of the product)

o P1,500,000 will be allotted for renting of a warehouse for production, the machinery and
maintenance.

BUSINESS PARTNERS
The founders of the PorToGo Company plan to partner with suppliers such as Taison Industrial
Corporation, as a supplier and co-manufacturer to provide for the raw materials of the PorToGo,
mainly so because they are one of the biggest and most mature plastic manufacturers in the
Philippines. They have high production and quality assurance that departments the unique
rotational molding process that can make plastic products in various sizes, shapes and colors with
a superior quality in a shorter amount of time with a lower development cost compared to other
plastic processing firms. With their high-quality products, reasonable prices, and dedicated
services, it is believed that their company will play a great role in the manufacturing success and
live up to the features and claims made about the PorToGo. This can be very helpful when starting
off the prototypes of our product. Moreover, advertisers will be affiliated with, who will aide in the
marketing of the product to the public and generate the flow of income from prospective
consumers.
