My name is Muhammad Syafiq bin Madzaili. I am from Ampang, Selangor. I

graduated from Bachelor Degree in October 2014 and now I am pursuing my study to
a higher level that is Master of Education in the same field as my Bachelor Degree,
which is Teaching English as a Second Language (TEASL).
I can honestly say that being a teacher is what I have always wanted to be but
after spent 4 years in IIUM, I realized that there are many ways to be a teacher and
not just by being a teacher to primary or secondary school students. In order to do that
I know I must push myself in getting a Master. And that is why I am here today. Apart
from that, my parents have been encouraging me to further my studies right away
before I starting my career. They believe that there is no limit in seeking knowledge
and the best time to do it is when Im still young. With their support and blessing, I
hope to finish my Master with no trouble at all.
In 5 years from now, I do not really see myself working as a teacher yet. I
hope to further my study to an even higher level. I might be doing a research for my
Ph.D and I particularly interested in doing a research to compare students in urban
and rural areas.. After getting my doctorate, I hope to stay in line of career that would
still allow me to do a research as I like doing it and I hope to find solutions for every
problem in the field of education.
