LAST TIME OUT

Lloyd was the first to make laps, as he wanted to get a feel for his No. 40 Angry Angel Energy Drink
Chevrolet on the DuQuoin clay. After five quick laps, he decided his car needed adjustments, bringing it to
the attention of his crew. On his way back to the garage area, he reported to his crew that he needed to
loosen up his car to help get it to rotate through the corners. He was able to record the 12th fastest lap, to
that point, of 38.047 seconds.
After receiving adjustments, Lloyd headed back onto the track for his second run of the session. Joining
him was teammate Alex Clubb in his No. 97 U.S. Bonding A. Clubb Lawn Care & Landscaping Dodge.
Both drivers completed five laps, as Lloyd continued to dial in his car for qualifying and the afternoons
100-lap race. Clubb had a bit of a different agenda, as he began to feel out his race car.
After completing their runs, Lloyd felt confident with how loose his car was, picking up nearly two
seconds, with a lap of 36.199 seconds. Unfortunately, he did not gain any ground on the speed charts,
finding himself 14th on the speed charts.
Clubbs first run was a bit off, as he recorded a fast lap of 40.279 seconds, the 23rd fastest time. In an
attempt to pick up some time, his crew feverishly went to work on his No. 97 Dodge, to help him find
more speed in the car.
In the final moments of practice, Clubb returned to the track to feel out the adjustments. Liking his
adjustments, he did find more speed in his second run, recording a lap of 39.320 seconds. As the session
ended, Lloyd has slipped back to 19th, while Clubb was 24th.
In Menards Pole Qualifying, Lloyd showed even more improvement from practice, running a 35.920 second lap. This gave him the 14th starting spot, his highest starting position of 2015. Clubb also picked up
the pace, recording a lap of 38.837 seconds, giving him the 24th starting spot.
As the green flag waved, both drivers began to settle into their strategy to get to the front. Both were
maintaining their position for the first few laps, until Lloyd began to fall back, as he was experiencing
handing issues.
His once loose Chevrolet had jumped to the tight side, as the car was having trouble turning throughout
the corners. His plan was to pit under the first caution flag to loosen up his car. On lap 13, he got the
caution he needed. Unfortunately, he was part of it.
Heading into turn 1, one of his competitors had gotten loose, and could not control his car as he spun
out, making contact with the outside wall. As Lloyd entered the corner, he began to lose control of his
car, heading straight for the wrecked competitor against the outside wall. He did everything he could to
slow down, but his car did not slowdown in time, as he made heavy contact with the outside wall and the
competitors car.
Lloyd was able to drive away from the crash, taking it directly to the garage area for the team to begin
work on repairing the car. After surveying the damage, his crew determined that his damage was worse
than expected. Therefore, he was forced to drop out of the event with a 28th place finish.
I made a mistake, Lloyd said. I drove it in way too hard and lost control. But it happens. It is part of
racing. I feel bad for our crew who worked hard to make the Angry Angel Energy Drink Chevrolet so great
for me.
Once again carrying the lone banner for Carter 2 Motorsports, Clubb continued on, as he began to charge
to the front. His progress was slowed by frequent caution periods, but Clubb was on a mission. A mission
that was going to plan, until lady luck turned her back on his No. 97 Dodge.
After receiving the One to go for a restart on lap 27, Clubb felt an issue arise in the drivetrain of the race
car. He quickly pulled off the track, so his crew could diagnose the problem. After some investigation, his
crew made a mutual decision to drop out of the race to prevent any other damage from occurring to his
race car. He was credited with a 26th place finish.

start 19th with the field being set on 2014 Owners Points.

By the time the green flag dropped, both team and driver were confident there was a good run in store
of the afternoon. Slowly, Hamilton Jr. made his way to the front of the field, as the field began to weed
itself out.
Unfortunately, the No. 97 Nitroforce Industries Titan 1000 Dodge was not handling well, so after a caution, he brought the car to the attention of the crew. Although the car was not handling well, Hamilton
Jr.s luck improved, as he was able to regain the lap he lost, being the Lucky Dog recipient.
After receiving fresh tires and adjustments, he began to make his way to the front. He had made his
way up to 8th and was closing in on the Top-5 runners before tragedy struck.
On lap 140, as he was making his way off of Turn 4, his car suddenly slowed. He brought it to the
attention of the crew, only to discover he had suffered a broken driveshaft. This put him out of the race,
giving him a 18th place finish.
Hamilton Jr.s teammate, Brandon McKenzie, had a successful ARCA Racing Series debut, bringing
home his No. 40 Remax Central Realty Lincoln Tech Collectors & Filters Inc. Dodge with a 16th
place finish.

about #teamc2m
From a young age, Team Owner
Roger Carter had a love for racing go-carts and motorcycles. His
interest in racing developed when
he and a close friend began to build
their first race car together.
When Roger was older, he moved to
Charlotte, North Carolina, meeting
former NASCAR Winston Cup Series
car owner, Dick Bahre. He was
known, at the time, for working on
the race cars that appeared in the
movie, Days of Thunder. Bahre
took Carter under his wing, teaching him the ins and outs of being
a race car owner and driver.
The two partnered together for
many years, competing in multiple
levels throughout ARCA and NASCAR. This is what has fueled the
fire for not only Roger, but for Carter
2 Motorsports ever since.
Carter 2 Motorsports has been in
auto racing for over 20 Years, as
Roger has been a part-time driver
and a full-time team owner in NASCAR and the ARCA Racing Series.
The team currently operates three
full-time race teams with ARCA.

news around the series
point standings-top 13
PAVEMENT OR DIRT, NOT A PROBLEM FOR ENFINGER, RECORDING DUQUOIN WIN
The Fairhope, Ala. native used a pass on the first green-white-checkered lap to get by Kyle Weatherman to earn his fifth win of 2015 and keep him in the drivers seat to be the 2015 series champion.
Weatherman led laps 88-103 at the DuQuoin State Fairgrounds before he slipped and went just high
enough for Enfinger to slide past him on the backstretch, and hold him off for the victory.

It worked out, Enfinger said after winning the Southern Illinois 100 presented by Federated Car Care
Monday. A lot of times it doesnt but, this time it did.
The series point leader won each of the first three races and two of the last three. This one might
have been the least likely of his wins, even after taking the Menards Pole Award presented by Ansell
and leading the first 15 laps of the race. His car became extremely hot, he said, causing a couple of
unscheduled pit stops.
We got way, way too hot, Enfinger said. Hats off to Ilmor (makers of the ARCA Ilmor 396). Evidently,
theyve built a bullet-proof engine because it stayed together even when the water temperature gauge
passed itself. Thats hot. We lost a lot of water, but, fortunately, the caution came out when we needed
it to for us to get it topped off with water and all the guys did great for not letting us lose a lap. Having
a car this good made it possible.
The race had seven cautions, the last coming on lap 98. Weatherman restarted first and Enfinger
third. Enfinger took advantage of the leader when Weatherman went slightly high in turns one and
two, and Enfinger grabbed the lead. Weatherman, in the No. 22 Crosley Brands Dodge, was frustrated
with finishing second although he widened his lead in the Calypso Lemonades Short Track Challenge
standings and led the most laps - 32.
Honestly this is the second race weve lost under this caution deal, Weatherman said. The cautions
keep falling wrong for us. But, thats a part of racing. I honestly think me and Grant had one of the
better cars all weekend. Its just unfortunate that I gave it away there at the end.
Springfield dirt winner A.J. Fike finished sixth, Frank Kimmel seventh in his historic 500th career start,
Justin Boston eighth, Ryan Unzicker ninth and Kelly Kovski 10th. Fifteen cars finished on the lead lap,
including Will Kimmel in 14th. Kimmel led 26 laps.
Hessert was third in the No. 77 Barberas Autoland Dodge. He led 18 laps and was up front most of
the day.
KIMMELS MAKE IT A FAMILY GATHERING WITH VENTURINI FOR SALEM
Frank Frankie Kimmel II, son of 10-time ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards champion Frank
Kimmel, will pilot Venturini Motorsports No.55 Aisin USA Manufacturing Toyota during the Federated
Car Care ARCA Fall Classic at Salem Speedway on Saturday, September 19.
I was born into this series (ARCA) and grew up watching my dad race and win championships,
Kimmel said, I cant tell you how special it is to return to series as a driver and have the opportunity
to race with and against him. Some of my earliest childhood memories are at Salem with my dad in
victory lane. Its going to be a great weekend!
Frankie Kimmel, the third generation driver, has made seven ARCA Racing series starts, with a pair of
career-best seventh-place finishes at Salem Speedway in 2011 and 2012.
The Fall Classic is shaping up to be one of the best and competitive fields the series has seen all year.
Its a tough track (Salem) but theres no doubt our Venturini guys will give us a strong Toyota and a
legitimate shot come Saturday night.
No stranger to Salem Speedway, Frankie Kimmel is a 2-time Salem Super Stock Champion (2009,
2012) and won Salems Rookie of the Year in 2007.
Seymour, Indiana-based Aisin USA Manufacturing will serve as primary sponsor for the No.55 Toyota.
I cant thank Shigeaki Hattori and Aisin USA Manufacturing enough for the opportunity to represent
their company and employees at my home track, Kimmel said. Its an honor.
As if two Kimmels werent enough, Will Kimmel, Frankies cousin, will compete at Salem with Kimmel
Racing - led by Franks brother, Bill Kimmel. Expect a huge contingency of Kimmel fans on-hand rooting for their favorite driver.
JANUARY 15-16, 2016 ANNOUNCED AS DAYTONA TEST DATES
Officials from the ARCA Racing Series announced this week that the test dates for the ARCA Racing
Series presented by Menards at Daytona International Speedway will be held on Friday and Saturday,
January 15 and 16, 2016.
The announcement marks the first time ARCAs annual pre-season testing sessions will be held exclusively in January. Since the inception of the test sessions in the late 1980s, the series has conducted
on-track activity in December.
The opportunity to provide our teams with a test date in January is significant, primarily because it is a
month closer to the actual race event date, said ARCA President Ron Drager. The ARCA Daytona test
has been in December since its inception in the late 1980s, and it has evolved and grown into a vital
activity inaugurating the new racing season.
