OIL AND GAS PRODUCTION

Production is a step where the oil and gas should be deliver going surface. Oil and gas
can flow going surface because in reservoir have natural flow. Natural flow is a energy from
natural pressure reservoir. First if we want to production oil and gas, we should be doing drilling,
where we make a hole from surface into subsurface where the oil and gas occur. Next we should
be doing completion, where after we done drilling, we need completion to prepare oil and gas
equipments to deliver oil and gas from reservoir going surface. The equipments like drill pipe,
drill collar, casing ,wellhead or BOP (blow out preventer), and etc, and after prepared
equipments we should be doing perforation. Perforation is make a little hole in casing as a way
oil and gas flowing in casing going to surface. But in perforation we should be attention about
place oil and gas occur must accurate. Because if we make perforation not in oil and gas occur,
maybe we will get water.and we will loss a lot of money. Because oil and gas industry work in
time, where problem should be minimize. So perforation is most important. And if you have
done completion, oil and gas will production. And we as production engineering should make a
report about rate oil and gas each day and keep maintain the rate oil and gas stable or no decline.
And production engineering should be doing pressure maintence to control pressure that rate oil
and gas no decline. If the rate oil and gas are decline, maybe we shoul be check reservoir
pressure drop or no. or maybe in reservoir have a problem. Problems when production oil and
gas are sand problem, scale, cross flow or flow behind casing. And all of problems can be
minimize with a doing maintain about all of the reservoir.
