The Three major Canadian companies that are helping to grow our economy and get
us out of the recession are Energy East, Trans Canada, and the Northern Gateway.
Energy East is a unique opportunity for Canada to enhance our energy security by
replacing oil imports. To eastern refineries through domestic supply, and generate
billions of dollars in salaries and tax revenues for local communities along the
pipeline route. The project is expected to create 10,000 full-time jobs during the
development and construction phase, well-paying jobs for welders and many others.
Experienced pipeline welders can earn as much as $150,000 a year, according to
industry data.
Trans Canada is the largest infrastructure project on the books. It will create 20,000
jobs: 13,000 in construction, 7,000 in manufacturing. Starting Salary would be
$59,000 per year.
The Northern Gateway Pipeline will create over 3,000 jobs with a starting yearly
salary of $50,000.
