Schools often have multiple initiatives in place, leaving teachers and administrators feeling overwhelmed and overburdened. Reflect below on
how the DATA team initiative for which you are embarking may SUPPORT (rather than compete) with the initiatives listed above. How might
they SHARE resources, including staffs time, energy, and commitment? The data team initiative I am considering is one with
regard to using social media to extend the classroom into the students online discussions. I can see how using
social media tools as part of classroom and beyond-the-classroom instruction will extend each teachers
capability to share information about assignments, communicate with parents, provide extra credit
opportunities, and more.
