Material You Need

All you need are two discarded/used plastic bottles as under to make a unit. You
need not purchase new ones. Just use the used bottles or buy them cheap from
scrap dealer.

PRUCEEDURE OF INSTALLING THE SYSTEM

1. Just chop of the Upper neck portion of the smaller bottles from where it
gets straight.
2. The Base/Bottom of the bigger bottle is also be chopped off. Retain the
cap of the bigger bottle.
3. Dig a small pit in the bed/pot where you want to install this system, so
that the 2-3 inch of the smaller bottle fits therein. Place the smaller bottle,
(with open side upwards) inthere and secure it by the filling the soil in
outside of the bottle.
4. Put the bigger bottle with cap over it, keeping the smaller bottle at the
center, so that it does not touch the smaller bottle.
5. Just ensure it is also properly secured in the soil by inserting a inch or two
into the soil.

6. If you are doing this in a Pot, please ensure that the pot is big enough so
that there is sufficient place to place seedlings/plants outside the bigger
Bottle.

HOW IT WORKS
1. Now open the lid of the bigger bottle and pour sufficient water through it
so that the smaller bottle is filled with water.
2. Replace the lid securely tight so that no water is escaped through it by the
process of evaporation.
3. The heat accumulated inside the outer bigger bottle will allow the water to
evaporate from the smaller bottle.
4. But owing to the closed environment, the water will condensed on the
walls of the bigger bottle and drained down to soil beneath.
5. This way the soil will remain moistened giving sufficient water to the
plants to sustain.
6. The water this way will hardly escape to the atmosphere and recycle itself
inside the system many times over, keeping your plant irrigated for longer
period.
7. The only evaporation will take place through the plant, which id very
neglible.
8. Just check, and if the water level in the inner bottle gets down replace it
with the fresh one.

This is how it looks finally.

You may put the mulch on the top of the soil to keep the soil cool and to avoid
evaporation of moisture in soil.
