THE DEFIBRILLATOR
The Defibrillator was created in 1932 by Dr.William Bennett
Kouwenhoven. The Defibrillator is a device that jump-starts
the heart with the use of electricity. This device helps
reestablish normal contraction rhythms in a heart that is
having dangerous arrhythmia- an irregular heartbeat or in
cardiac arrest- a sudden stop in effective blood circulation to
the heart.

Medical uses of the defibrillator

CPR means Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation. Without the defibrillator the survival of cardiac
arrest or arrhythmia would be assumed to be zero, this is equivalent to saving the life of 2
out of 5 using defibrillation. When considering only those with a heart rhythm correctable
by defibrillation, survival rate was 59%, equivalent to saving 3 out of 5. Surviving with
cardiac arrest was less, however, in more common scenarios seen outside of the CPR study,
including all of the sick hospitalized people, people without access immediately (4-5 minutes),
and for those whose arrest is not witnessed.

WAR
Most people would think that war is not an
invention, they are right, it is not war itself but
inventions made for war. Technologies such as the
tank, high caliber rifle, and the nuclear bomb were
all made for war. War has been going on ever since
people started making weapons. War actually
began in the year of 1917 in Europe.

Technologies used for War

Tanks: built for the first war the tank is still being used on the battlefield . These tanks are strong mobile vehicles that fire high explosive caliber round. Some tanks are so strong that they can stand a missal attack.
High caliber rifle: it is a sniper rifle used for long distance shots. They can fire several rounds before you have to start reloading.
Nuclear Bomb Device: built at the end of World War 2 and it gives off radiation. They were built by U.S scientists hoping to find a way to end war by a super weapon that could give off fast amounts of radiation.

COFFEE POT
Coffee drinkers the world over no longer would
have to chew their brew. Benjamin Thompson,
Count Rumford, invented the coffee pot with a
metal sieve- also known as a strainer, to strain
away the grounds.

How the Coffee Pot works.

Coffee Makers or Coffee Pots are made to brew coffee. Coffee grounds are placed in a
paper or metal filter inside of a funnel, which is set over a glass or ceramic coffee pot.
Cold water is poured into a separate chamber, which is then heated up to the boiling
point and directed into the funnel. For hundreds of years, making a cup of coffee was
a quite simple process. Roasted and ground coffee beans were placed into a pot or
pan, to which hot water was added, followed by the attachment of a lid to complete
the fusion process.
