Update from Week 2:

Knightmares 21 vs. Appleton 15

Because of an error on the Referee match report this was initially recorded as a
forfeit. League policy is 13 players are required to start the game. The match
report indicated that the Knightmares had 12. After conferring with the Appleton
Coach it was determined that they did have 13 and so the game result stands.
Standings have been updated to indicate the change.
Week 3:
Catholic Memorial 70 vs. Vernon 0
Catholic Memorial defeated Vernon to remain undefeated at 3-0. They still have not
given up any points this season. The game had young players on both sides gaining
experience. The Crusaders, with a majority of players on their roster being
underclassmen, saw five freshman or sophomores score tries. Vernon's Monique
Foster and Mercedes Champlain played with their typical strong tackling and ballcarrying. Young Crusader's Kayla McQuestion, Zeyra Medina, Megan Kuczkowsk,
Maddy Pawlak, and Grace Alesci just to name a few, played extremely well.
Divine Savior Varsity 77 vs. Knightmares 0
DSHA Varsity recorded their 3rd victory of the season, scoring 70 points in each
game, beating Knightmares 77-0. Divine Savior had possession most of the game
and moved the ball well from sideline to sideline. Second Row Abby Barzak,
Scrumhalf Genivive Ruesch and Wing Grace Hilbert being singled out by Coach John
Chin Klein as having played well.
Knightmares Coach Megan Kilpatrick singled out Jenna Anderson, Anna Dias, and
Olivia Schaefer as having played great defense. Tiffany Raasch of the Knightmares
ran 50 meters to chase down a DSHA runner and prevented a try. Both coaches
singled out Knightmares Outside Center Emily Becker as having played well. After
scoring 6 tries in the 1st two games the lack of possession and DSHAs great defense
was able to keep her out of the try zone.
Divine Savior JV 52 vs. Muskego 0
Divine Savior ran in 10 tries and converted one possession.
Appleton 22 vs. Fond du Lac 5
Kaitlyn Schoepel and Jordan Hagmann each scored twice for Appleton and Hagman

having played a great game defensively.
Oak Creek vs. Warsaw, IN and Brookfield vs. Penn, IN

Oak Creek and Brookfield boarded a bus at 5:00AM to travel to Grand Rapids, MI to
play non-conference friendlies at Davenport Universities stadium, prior to
Davenports Collegiate game against Grand Valley State.
Oak Creek jumped off the bus, warmed up for 20 minutes and the whistle blew.
With the score Warsaw 12 Oak Creek 0 at half-time Coach Chris Kurth put in all of
his rookies/subs. The final score was Warsaw 43 Oak Creek 12. Warsaw finished 7 th
in the Midwest last year and Coach Kurth was happy with how his team played.
Brookfield traveled with a roster of 19 and were missing several key players
because of Brookfield Centrals homecoming. The game was competitive ending
with a score of Penn 34 Brookfield 5. Penn finished 3 rd in the Midwest last year and
Coach Neil Grinjes was pleased with the level of competition his team experienced.
Overall it was a great trip for both teams. The Davenport coaches and players were
extremely gracious and welcoming. We encourage all of our girls to play Rugby in
college and it was great for them to experience this atmosphere.
