ED 321 LESSON _6____

Cooperating Teacher Comments Regarding Lesson Plan and Lesson

Did the student share her/his lesson plan with you prior to teaching it?

Yes

Noor started class with a Daily Oral Language warm-up. This required students to read two
paragraphs and look for two errors. She read the paragraphs and allowed students time to find
errors. She ended after about 5 minutes and corrected the errors with feedback.
Noor shared the agenda, and asked students to come up and sit while looking for imagery.
She explained what Imagery was, and she allowed kids to share their thoughts.
She next offered a song and a visual of the lyrics for kids to follow. She told the kids what they
were looking for, and the directions were clear and specific.
She stopped at various points and asked kids what they saw in the song lyrics that created
imagery in their head. She did make suggestions when necessary.
Noor, when finished, told the students that they had hour to work on their song lyrics to
imagery projects. She did explain the objective, and then she allowed them to start their
project.
Noor spent a lot of time walking around working with individual kids. This allowed her time to
formatively assess kids.
She wrapped up the lesson with 1 minute to go, and reminded students that the final project was
due on Monday at the end of class.
Noor did a very nice job of taking her time with directions, allowing kids to share their thoughts,
and formatively assessing kids. Much improved from when she started with me.
Good job!
