ing than when we sleep,or just walk on the street called overbreathing or hyperventilation (Chanchamnog, 2003, p. 225-227) By the way,Concentrative meditation can help for respiration system. Dr.Herberk Benson (Benson, n.d),a professor of Havard medical school did experiment with
priest; He tried to studied about amount of Oxygen during practice meditation. (Benson, n.d.)
This picture presented the result of experiment;oxygen is decreased during meditation without
preparatory overbreathing, indicate that body demands less oxygen during a deep rest.(Respiration System and, n.d.) As the result,Concentrative meditation can restrain hyperventilation
great. If we have a perfect respiration system,we will have best health too cause the other organ
system like endocrine system, immune system, metabolic effect, muscle tension, and skin conductance are be able to work full function. (Kritsanaprokornkit, 2009).So,it means the students who
practice meditation will have a strong mentality, and active to study new lessons.
More than affects to positive health.Meditation has other benefits.Have you ever know?
Meditation also develops mood, and emotion. The Buddha said, mind precedes all things;mind
is their chief, mind is their maker. If one speaks or does a deed with a mind that is pure
within, happiness then follows along like a never departing shadow( Chanchamnong, 2003, p.
292 ) His philosophy is interesting. As you can see, mood has relationship with body so
much;many diseases about psychiatry are occured when you are in pressure. These are the case
study from anxiety disorders, and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.Lets start with Anxiety
disorders,Anxiety disorders is the most common problems in psychiatric which affects nearly 25 million of
Americans. It can impel people into bad situations. These
people are likely to suffer from depression, their Job, and
s.Ways to make a go of higher grade is not too hard for the reason which they have a good behavior, and better focus.
The most important part,Brain. Why is it important? Brain is the organ that works by nervous system. Its like a boss of the body; control whatever you do. Medical profession accept that
meditation can affect to the brain. The result is shown in waveform, theyre 4 main kind of brain
waves: beta waves, alpha waves, theta waves, and delta waves. Beta waves will take place when
the body awaking awareness.Alpha waves was presented when the brain in state of relaxation
times, meditation, calm.Theta waves is a pattern of brain when it deep relaxation like dreaming. The last one Delta waves is the
top of stable type.It happen with
deepest stages of sleep.(forget about
crystals, 2010) They have many experiments that show how the meditation interact with the
brain. This researcher report that who meditated for 30 minutes in 1 day about 8 weeks; It found
increased the area of brain that important for learning, and the result also decrease anxiety and
stress. A control group that did not practice meditation showed noting changes
brainwaves(Bhanoo,2010),It mean students have an ability to memories and can improve their
thinking like creativity, and logical thinking than students who have no practice meditation .From
my own experience,Meditation change my whole life.three years ago,I had a problems with my
new school,new friends,and new environment.
I was very stressful;I started practice concentrative meditation seriously.A lot of changing was
happen to me.I got a very higher grade, had no stress,be steady and calm.
Once and for all, meditation is not affects only
buddhist students,No matter what religions they
are.Everyone can affected. Sooner or later students of
mindfulness, and concentrative meditation will certainly get positive health, better control their mood, and
their brain for learning. The buddha said,Those who
develop well mindfulness of the body, who never do
what ought not to be done-Of those mindful and reflective ones deflective ones defilements come
to extinction(Chanchamnong, 2003, p.3) . Happiness is always in your mind, but how to bring it
out meditation.
