ESTIMATED LESSON LENGTH:
40 minutes
OVERVIEW OF LESSON:
Students will divide into groups. Each group will work with either the classroom teacher or the
librarian. Using some form of manipulative, the books will be read out loud with each group with
special emphasis being placed on the letter being explained.
Students will trace letters and also color pictures corresponding with those letters. This will
eventually become a classroom book.
Students will also have to take an oral test to ensure comprehension.
