http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IdaKEvp27oo
b. What have you learned about intonation from these two video clips?
-I had learned that speaking English isnt just about correct grammar and
vocabulary. You must change your pitch-the ups and downs and the musical note
of your voice-to convey the meaning, emotion and expression. Based on the
example in the video, I had learned that words can bring different meaning
depend on their pitch. When the intonation went down, it indicates the
completion of the thought. When the intonation went up, it indicates the surprise.
In English, there are three types of intonation patterns which is rise, full fall and
partial fall. When we want to complete a thought or ask a wh-question, we should
use fall intonation. When we want to express a surprise or need a clarification,
we should use rise intonation. When we want to make a list, use partial rise and
fall. Lastly, if u no finishes your thought, make sure the pitch has no change.

b. What have you learned about fillers from this video clip?
I had learned how to eliminate the fillers through the technique in this video.
When we speaking, connect all the words together until get a comma. Then
connect the next group of words until get a period and stop. Only stop for comma
and period, never stop after a few words.
