LESSON OUTCOME:
Aim: the aim of the first lesson in the unit is to establish what rain is and how
water is created. Students will be taught about the water cycle to create an
understanding and awareness of this precious resource. This initial lesson in the
unit will create context for the following two lessons.
PREPARATION:
As there will be a short video presentation shown during the lesson a multi media
device such as a television, smart board or laptop will be needed. The practical
component of this lesson will require lockable plastic bags, access to soil and
water.
