Orchestra of the Filipino Youth

I was really amazed by their performance especially the beginning when they
played Beethovens 5th symphony. Actually, Beethovens 5th symphony is one of my
favorite classical piece. When the youth played the first bar, it gave me a goose bump
all over my skin because it sounded like the original music. I love how the instruments
flow and they just did it perfectly. I realize that each instruments have a different
functions like the strings and woodwinds, they actually give a chill or solemn sound.
Brasses and other metal instruments portray or sound like a huge/big sound while the
percussions are the one who can give a beat in the music.

I also notice some negative things during the performance like the guy who
mostly played the French horn solo parts. Ive noticed that every time he prolonged
some notes, he quickly cuts it like a dead air so I think it will be better if hell make the
note fade slowly but Im not sure if Im right because maybe its in his piece to cut it off
right away. I was also amazed how the conductor, Olivier Ochanine, deliver his
expression towards to the youth who are playing. I also realized that being a conductor
in music is hard because you need to know all the notes in the music, which will play or
what instrument will follow, and how you portray the image of the music so that the ones
playing the instrument will be guided.

I also found out that the OFY members are mostly underprivileged children. It is
inspiring because they use their talents to motivate other people who also have the
same talents as they have. Ive learn some things in this event which is to continue your
dream, keep practicing and dont stop if ever troubles will come because it is part in
mastering a certain instrument or even in other staffs, like me I am a piano player but
whenever I try to play a classical piece like Chopins Nocturne in E flat Major (Op.9
No.2), another favorite piece, I cant make it perfectly but still I keep practicing his piece
though it is hard hahaha.
