In my own perception, based on the current situation in our country I don't think the Philippines is ready for a drastic
change especially to those phenomenon brought to us by natural disasters. A couple of years ago, when Typhoon Haiyan
struck some part of our country intensely, I can still remember that there were panic all throughout those affected areas due
to the very slow respond from our concern agencies because we lack modern technologies from communications to heavy
equipment needed to accelerate immediate help to affected areas. Until now, many of the victims of typhoon Haiyan have
not still recovered. Another issue that convinced me that we are not yet ready for any change is our economic and political
situation. It is very evident to us that our capability in terms of military power cant even help protect us from any threats
from our neighboring countries we have in dispute.
