This specification applies to all facilities and projects in these. Purpose This document, together with the Project Data Sheets provided separately, defines the minimum requirements for mechenical design, materials, fabrication, inspection, testing, certifcation, and painting, preparation for shipment, packing, forwarding, transport and documentation for Non API Centrifugal Pumps to be installed as part of the Bien Dong 1 Project. ‘The VENDOR shall ensure that all equipment and services supplied meet the requirements of this Specification, the Project Data Sheets, Codes & Standards and specifications nominated herein. ‘Whether VENDOR supplies the equipment and services directly or through SUB-VENDOR. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS VENDOR's Responsibility The VENDOR shall have full responsibility for design, selection of materials (when specified), fabrication, testing and inspection of Centrifugal Pumps based on relevant project documents Review of VENDOR documents or inspection by the PURCHASER / COMPANY shall not relieve the VENDOR of any of these responsi Operation and Design Life ‘The Centrifugal Pumps shall be designed for a minimum service life of 25 years. Location and Environmental Conditions ‘The equipment will be installed on an offshore platform in the south of the coast of Vietnam. Ambient Temperature: 32.4 °C (Max); 16 °C (Min) Max. Itis not available for normal use. VENDOR Exceptions ‘The VENDOR shall be responsible to submit, together with the quotation, the list of deviations and / or exceptions to this specification, project data sheets and other project documents including the codes and standards. In the absence of such list, it will be construed that VENDOR fully complies with the requirements. Weight Control ‘The VENDOR shall exercise an active weight control system throughout the design and fabrication of the Centrifugal Pumps. The VENDOR shall submit the weight data sheet attached with the equipment data sheets which shall contain the following details: + Dry weight — Installed weight excluding operating fluids, spares, tools and temporary packing ‘+ Liftweight - Dry weight + Packing weight + Operating weight — Dry weight + Weight of operating fluids + Test weight - Dry weight + Weight of test medium ‘+ Heaviest maintenance lft weight ‘+ The location of the COG in the X, Y, and Z planes for each designated weight condition VENDOR shall provide the weight data sheet at the following stages ‘The final weighed weight of the item shall be within 20% of the weight reported at bid stage. Purchase Order Stage - The VENDOR shall review the weight estimete provided in his bid and advise of any variation in weight or COG location necessary to comply with the purchase order specifications. The revised weight may include a specified positive tolerance which shall not exceed 10% of the item’s final weighed weight. The weight determined at this stage is the Upper Bound Weight and shall not be exceeded in later updates without the written permission of the PURCHASER. This information, together with a detailed sketch (Included in the Weight Control Data Sheet) clearly showing the coordinate reference location Point for COG, shall be provided to the PURCHASER, Where detailed design drawings are stipulated to be submitted to PURCHASER, they shall be accompanied by an update to item weights and COGs at initial submission and at any subsequent amendment submission. The revised weight may include a specified positive tolerance which shall not exceed 5% of the item's final weight, nor exceed Upper Bound Weight estimate without the written permission of the PURCHASER. Weighing - Prior to the preparation for the shipment of completed items, the VENDOR shall carry out ‘a weighing of the complete package to obtain a final weight and location of COG. The final weight may include @ specified tolerance which shall not exceed 5% of the item's final weight. ‘The weighing method used shall be capable of accurately determining the COG location of all items in the two reference planes. The VENDOR shall also provide an estimate as to the COG location in the vertical reference plane, The VENDOR shall submit a weighing procedure for PURCHASER's ‘approval prior to weighing. ‘A detailed sketch clearly showing the coordinate reference point for the COG shall be forwarded to the PURCHASER as per agreed VORL prior to scheduled delivery date ‘The weighing shall be carried out using suitably calibrated weighing equipment which shall have a calibration certificate not more than one year old. The results of such weighing, together with duplicate copies of the calibration certificate, shell be forwarded to the PURCHASER at least seven days prior to scheduled delivery date. The weighing certificate shall accompany the package during the delivery. ‘The VENDOR shall advise the PURCHASER the dates of each weighing, giving at least seven days notice. The VENDOR shall provide facilities to allow witnessing of such weighing by PURCHASER's Inspector. Transportation Sea Loads Equipment shall be installed on a deck that will be fabricated in 2 fabrication yard. The specification is to be read in conjunction with the technical requisition and all attachments thereof, VENDOR shall be responsible for the co-ordination of the design and the satisfactory functioning of the complete pump package, i.e. mechanical seals, electrical, instrumentation, driver and all ancillaries. In cases where VENDOR provides equipment, which he has not manufactured, he shall be responsible for ensuring that the designs of these items are compatible with each other and with his ‘own equipment in all respects. In particular, they shall be compatible dimensionally, in performance, reliability and in control characteristics such that fully integrated units are achieved, ‘The pump packages shall be designed as a piece of equipment capable of running all year round. Planned maintenance shall be allowed for, but the package should be capable of operating continuously for at least 12 months without un-planned shutdowns. The design of the package shall be to simplify maintenance. Process ‘The pump shall be designed for the process duties and rated performance as defined on the pump data sheets. The pump shall be designed for continuous service and shall perform satisfactorily over the entire range of operating and environmental conditions. \VENDOR's pump selections shall ensure there is @ NPSH margin of at least 1 metre or 15% of NPSHA whichever is the greater. The guaranteed NPSHR shall equal the maximum NPSH required between the minimum continuous flow and the maximum expected operating flow. The following criteria applies: © Pumps with NPSH margin at or below 1.0 m, each pump shall undergo NPSH test. + Inducer at suction of the pumps to reduce NPSHR is not acceptable The offered pump shall be sized such that a minimum of 5% increase in head is possible by installing allarger diameter impeller. The motor rating shall match the larger impeller. ‘The suction specific speed shall not exceed 200 (SI units) as defined in Annexure A of API 610 at the Best Efficiency Point (BEP) The pump package shall be designed to operate satisfactorily individually as well as in parallel, sharing common suction and discharge headers with other pump(s) as indicated in the P&ID / Data sheets. The pumps shall be selected to have a stable head/capacity curve i.e. have a continuous head rise to shut-off. The head rise to shutoff shall preferably be 115 - 120% of the head required at the rated fiow. Pumps offered with a head rise to shut-off in excess of 120% shall be subject to PURCHASER's approval, Proposal to use orifices as a means of providing a continuous rise to shutoff shall be submitted for PURCHASER's approval. Pumps for parallel operation shall have equal head rise (within 1%, as measured on the performance test) to shutoff. Viscosity correction factor shall be indicated on the data sheet Mechanical General The pumps shall be horizontal foot mounted single stage overhung end suction type OH1 or axially split type BB1 of vertical inline pumps type OH3, OH4, OHS, or vertically suspended VS1,VS4, VS6, \VS6 as indicated in API 610 and comply with the general requirements of API 610 latest edition and ‘other documents listed in section 2.1 of this specification. The horizontal end suction pumps shall ‘comply to ISO 2868 or ANSVASME B73.1 standards. The pumps designed shall be capable of running all year round, Planned maintenance shall be allowed but the pump shall be capable of ‘operating continuously for at least 12 months without un-planned shutdowns. Equipment having proven track record under similar operating condition shall only be proposed. ‘The pumps shall be designed to simpify installation and maintenance. The designs shall facilitate {transportation and minimizes installation at the construction site, Maximum suction pressure, liquid specific gravity, impeller diameter and pump speed should be considered at the pump shutoff condition, to establish the maximum pump discharge pressure ‘condition, VENDOR shall provide pump performance curves showing head, capacity, efficiency, absorbed power, NPSH required, and minimum continuous stable flow. Curves shall be drawn for full operating range at rated speed. Coupling hubs shall be removable without the application of heat, Suction and discharge nozzles shall be flanged. The flanges shall be the same pressure and temperature rating Direction of rotation shall be marked to facilitate the determination of motor direction of rotation Casing ‘The maximum allowable working pressure (MAWP) of the pump casing shall not be less than the system design pressure Unless otherwise specified, all pumps shall have flanged suction and discharge nozzles. Pump suction/discharge flanges shall be drilled to ANSI B16.5. The suction and discharge flange pressure and temperature rating shall be identical Openings for nozzles and other pressure casing connections shall be standard nominal pipe sizes (NPS). Non-standard opening sizes as 1-1/4, 2-112, 3-1/2, 5, 7 and 9 NPS shall not be used. In case the design of pump cannot satisfy this requirement, VENDOR shall supply an adapter flange for next higher standard pipe size of same or better grade material Flanges shall be suitable for through bolting and shall be full or spot faced on the back, Self venting pumps are preferred. Where the pump is not self venting, vent connection shall be provided with a flanged gate valve. All fluid passages within the pump shall be arranged for complete drainage. Pressure gauge connection on casing shall not be provided, unless specified in the data sheet. All casing screwed connections shall have minimum %'NPT threads. VENDOR is responsible for ensuring that all materials used are suitable for the operating and ambient conditions specified If not specified in this specification, the date sheets or referenced project specifications, VENDOR ‘shall be responsible for the selection of materials of construction for the equipment within the pump package. The extent and stages of work at which inspection shall be carried out shall be as specified in the VENDOR’s quality plan which shail be subject to agreement by PURCHASER and the third party Certifying agency, prior to commencement of manufacture VENDOR shall provide, at his own expense, all appropriate equipment and facilities required to perform the required inspection and testing ‘Weld inspection shall be carried out in accordance with BD-00-M-S-0332 “Specification of fabrication and Welding for Equipment" and ASME VIII Division 1, Section UW-2. Additional requirements shall be stated on the Data Sheet. These inspections shall be included in the VENDOR’s Quality Plan for approval by PURCHASER. VENDOR shall define the extent of NDT to be applied during detail design. In general critical welds such as those for lfting attachments and pressure containment shall be subject to 100% radiography / UT examination and magnetic particle inspection. Attachment welds shall be subject to 10% radiography | UT examination and 100% dye penetrant inspection. Itis the responsibility of VENDOR to advise PURCHASER and third party certifying agency when the equipment will be ready for stage inspection. The VENDOR shall notify the COMPANY/PURCHASER ‘and third party certifying agency of the scheduled dates of the tes¥inspection in advance as per Purchase Contract or as follows + Ten (10) working days prior to FAT ‘+ Five (5) working days to any other inspection or test No goods shall be packed, sealed or despatched prior to receipt of a written release note by PURCHASER or his appointed agent. Inspection and witnessed tests by PURCHASER and/or third party certifying agency shall not relieve VENDOR of any guarantees, responsibilities or obligations to provide satisfactory equipment. The approval of release for shipment by any inspector or representative of PURCHASER shall not relieve VENDOR of the responsibilty for the supply under the terms of the order, or of any guarantee. For equipment fabricated outside of Vietnam, Third Party Certifying agency will be approved by COMPANY/PURCHASER. Vendor SHALL INCLUDE COST for Third party certifying agency in their tender. For equipment fabricated inside Vietnam, Certifying Authority (CA) or local bodies is the Third party Certifying agency, Inspection and testing shall be as per data sheet, typical ITP included in Technical Requisition and BD-00-M-S-0334 "General Specification for Vendor Inspection” and minimum as given below Quality Assurance ‘The VENDOR shall demonstrate that he operates @ quality system in accordance with an internationally recognized standard. VENDOR shall submit a test procedure for each activity for approval by PURCHASER prior to the tests commencing. VENDOR shall assume that all the tests will be witnessed. The spare parts shall be properly tagged so that later identification as to their intended usage will be facilitated, All items supplied shall be packaged separately and clearly marked as ‘Spare Parts’ and shipped with the equipment in accordance with the instructions from PURCHASER. PREPARATION FOR SHIPMENT Provision for 12 months outdoor storage in tropical marine conditions shall be provided. VENDOR shall provide full details on the preservation method and any scheduled maintenance requirements during the year. Protection shall be provided against atmospheric corrosion while in transit and while in outdoor storage, All machined surfaces shall be protected with an easily removable anti-corrosion compound Equipment containing rust preservatives, insulating oils or other fluids shall be suitably tagged at opening to indicate the nature of the contents and shipping and storage precautions. Copies of Material Safety Data Sheets for the chemical used shall be despatched with the equipment and a separate copy forwarded to the PURCHASER. Any items such as instruments, removable internals, hoses, etc liable to be damaged during shipment shall be dismantled, shipped separately and reinstalled at the site. All such item shall be tagged. All connections shall be marked correspondingly to facilitate field assembly. All connections shall be provided with thread protectors or flange blanks to prevent damage during shipping and handling, Load test certificates duly signed by Third Party Inspection Agency shall be shipped with all liting equipment, spreader bars, slings and shackles wherever required. ‘Commissioning spares as agreed with PURCHASER shall be shipped with the equipment. ‘The shipping crates shall be constructed of wood and suitably packed to protect all items against damage during the shioment and storage. ‘The contents of all boxes or packages shall be recorded in detail on the packing list. The transported package shall have the necessary fastenings, protections and lifting facilities to satisfy liting and sea- fastening loads and restraints.
