70s-Queen-We will rock you
The Queen are a 70s rock band that made the song we will rock
you. They are a rock band of four that were very popular in the 70s.
Camera quality
Due to the camera quality the music video looks old fashioned as it
was meant to be in the 70s. You can tell it is an old video because
the quality is not very good in the video.
What style are they in?
This music doesnt tell a story it just shows the band performing in a
forest. The band is singing to the camera in this video, as it was a
live performance. This song would be put into the classic rock genre.
The Queens music video gives off a sense that it is a live concert
because they are performing to a camera.
Who is in them?
In this music video only the band were in this video. The bands were
representing the rock type of genre. The type of people that they
were aiming this music video at were about 20-40 year olds in the
rock genre.
Use of shots
The shots used in this music video were close ups, low angle shots
and mid shots. Close ups were used more than low angle shots to
show facial emotion. The choice of shots doesnt link with the lyrics
it just presents emotion of the video.
Use of editing
In this video there isnt a lot of editing the only editing in the
Queens- we will rock you were: quick cuts and fade ins and outs.
The editing that was there fitted in with the music video and some
of the transitions were smooth.

The only props that the band was using were their instruments e.g.
guitar and drums, also the band was using a stage to perform on.

The sound in this music video was non-diegetic sound. At the start
of the video there is an FX sound when showing off the record label.

The lighting in this music video is outside natural lighting, this
shows that the music video is a normal natural video.

Michael Jackson made this song in the 80s and was
also a very popular in the 80s. The song beat it
was made in 1982.

because the camera looks vintage and not in HD.

The style of the music video is linear because it is telling a story of two
gangs fighting each other. The music video is filmed like it is a musical
with singing and dancing in it.

In this music video there are actors are around there 20s-30s. The
ethnicity in this music video are mixed between black and white. The
people in this music video show that are old-fashioned gangsters.
Setting/location
This music video is set in 1982 and the type of clothing the actors wear
shows the age of this music video. The location of this music video is set in
a bar and a warehouse.

The shots that are used in this music video are close ups, mid shots and
tracking shots. Tracking shots were used the most out of all of the shots in
this video, they were used to show the audience exactly where the actors
were going and also following them in their footsteps.

As this video was an old video the editing work is not very advance, the
only editing technique there is: quick cuts in and out of scenes. This
editing technique fits in well with the lyrics.

The props used are: old cars and knifes that the two main characters fight
with. The props do show the genre and the age of the song because the
song is old the cars are also old.

90s-Soul for real-candy rain


The band soul for real was an R&B/Soul group in the 90s.
They were a black ethnicity band of four with all of them
having amazing singing voices.
Camera quality
The camera quality in this video is good due to the fact it is a 90s
music video but there are some speculations but other than that the
camera is at a decent quality,
What style are they in?
At the beginning of the music video tells a little story about one of
the band members joining the band. This type of music video is set
on a stage with cameras recording them from the front.
Who is in them?
The main characters in this music video are the main four singers in
soul for real. The ethnicity in this music video is black young men
and a young boy.
Use of shots
The types of shots used in this music video are mid shots, close ups
and low angle shots. The low angle shots were used to show
emotion on their faces also it was used in close ups.
Use of editing
In this music video the use of editing is fadeouts/ins, quick cuts, a
blurred effect. The blurred effect shows the focus on one character.

fans favourite songs. This song and music video was made in 2002.

as this video was made in 2002.

The music video tells a story between Justin Timberlake and his exgirlfriend/wife. This video would be known as a linear video.
Who is in them?
The artist Justin Timberlake is the main character in this video also
another music artist is in it and he is known as Timberland. The
ethnicity in this video is mixed between white and black.
Use of shots
The shots used in this video are: angled shots, close ups, wide
shots, mid shots and tracking shots. Close ups were used to show a
deep emotion in Justins face while singing; also wide shots were
used to show Justin and his surroundings.
Use of editing
The editing techniques used were: Quick cut and special effects
(editing to make Justin float). Not much editing techniques were
used because I think that Justin Timberlake was trying to tell more of
a realistic story.

The props used were: two cars, a framed picture, stones, a recording
camera and an old TV.

sound, I think this type of sound was used so the audience can listen
to his lyrics.
