Warm up game for Ss Fortunately, unfortunately.


Ss are given a sentence e.g. the plane crashed into
the ground. A beanbag is thrown to one other
student and they need to continue the sentence with
either fortunately and a positive (e.g. fortunately the
passengers had parachutes)

100 word challenge: Ss are given the writing prompt


.. all at once they fell over.. Ss use the prompt to
write a creative writing piece of only 100 words.
Students share their work on the padlet.

Ss watch the Atlantis trailer and use this as


inspiration to write a creative writing piece on how
they think the story will develop. Ss compose story
as a narrative.
