youtalkto,andalwaysaskWhy?touncoverdeepermeaning.Engagementcancomethrough
bothshortinterceptencountersandlongerscheduledconversations.

someonetoshowyouhowtheycompleteatask.Havethemphysicallygothroughthesteps,

contextofsomeoneshomeorworkplacesomanystoriesareembodiedinartifacts.Usethe

througharecreationofarecentincidentinvolvingtheircatbringinginabird.Iwillaskthemto
describethisprocessincludingtheiremotionsindetailanddocumenttheirresponse.Iwillalso
createtwoseriesofquestions,onefortheownersandoneforthecohabitants,toaskthetarget
usersinordertobuildupresearchandhopefullygettotherootoftheproblem.BoththeHuman
CentredDesignApproachandtheDMAIC(Define,Measure,Analyse,Improve,Control)
processsharethedefinephase.Thoughinthelatteritisthefirststage.Thesequestionswillbe
designedtomeasuretheextentandeffecttheproblemonthepeopleaffectedlives.Iwillmost
likelyconducttheinterviewandrecreationondifferentdaysasthespaceinbetweenmay
providesomeinsight.
