    The city is historically significant because it was the center of activities for
    the Katipunan
    It was in a house in Caloocan where secret meetings were held by Andrs
    Bonifacio and his men, and it was within the city's perimeters where the
    very first armed encounter took place between the Katipunan and the
    Spaniards.

    One of the highlights of Caloocan Foundation Day, showcasing the use of


    the "Pamaypay"/fan as traditional tool to the surging heat as exhibited in
    techno-modern folk street dancing competition.

    This monument marks the site of first encounter between Andres Bonifacio's
    Katipunan revolutionary group and the Spanish soldiers on August 13, 1896.
