There have been many significant


developments in regards to the civil
rights of Aboriginal and Torres Strait
Islander Peoples. In groups of 8 each
select a different event to investigate
from the list below.

The Apology
Once you have developed a solid
understanding of your event, form a
debate as to why your event was the
most significant for the Aboriginal and
Torres Strait Islander Peoples. You will
need to debate this in front of a teacher
and a small group of your peers (to be
determined) and you will need to
provide your notes after
your debate concludes.
