Mehemea ka moemoea ahau, ko ahau anake;

Mehemea ka moemoea a tatou, ka taea e tatou

Tn koutou katoa,
In the Cricket World Cup the English didn't make it out of pool play and
New Zealand and Australia contested the final. I dont care to recall the
result. The Rugby World Cup has followed suit, but the result MUST
be reversed or it will be a pretty grumpy and quiet couple of days
around the house. Go the ABs!!
Hui Mori feedback - it was good to see familiar faces at our
'Success as Mori' hui. We are looking forward to seeing some
unfamiliar faces next time! Te Whakatupuranga is only one part of
the bigger picture around Maori achievement at Kerikeri Primary
School and even if your child is not in this programme, your voice and
aspirations for their success is equally important. There will be
another opportunity in the new year for us to have some sort of
get-together where we can share the focus for the year ahead and
hear your feedback. Stay tuned.
Good luck to the Future Problem Solving Team that left today to
contest the finals in Auckland. They packed their thinking caps and
are ready to out-solve the competition.
Health and P.E. consultation. Every 2 years we are required to
consult with the community. Dave Kirkland, Lead teacher of Health
and P.E. has designed a brief online survey to gather your
thoughts. Please see your email for the link. Families who receive
paper copies of the newsletter will also receive hard copies of the
survey. Thank you for sharing you views.

34 year 4, 5, and 6 children took part in the Kids for Kids concert at The
Centre recently. The concert is run in conjunction with World Vision, so
the children were actually helping other children who are less fortunate
than themselves. It was an amazing night and the children performed
wonderfully. Thank you for your support. Debbie Hancock and Tracey
Smallman.

Remember we have a BYOD Information Session next Wednesday,
November 4, 6pm at KKPS. We will share what learning can look like
when supported by a digital device that is personalised to your child.
All welcome.
Please also keep November 30th free in your diary. We will be
hosting a screening of a movie called Most likely to Succeed. It
challenges the traditional notions of schooling and what children need
to be successful in, in the world that is rapidly changing and evolving.
More information to follow, Google it for more information in the meantime.
