1) Investigation - what are your goals for this CAS experience?
My goals for this CAS experience is to be of help to those working/taking care of
animals at the Humane Society, be open-minded of the conditions in which the animals
are in, and be committed to volunteering 8-12 hours a month.
2) Preparation briefly identify your plan of action and include an approximate
timeline.
I will be volunteering at the Humane Society 2-3 times a month for 4 hours (8-12 hours
a month) starting from October 10th until May 25th.
3) Action - how will you accomplish your goals? Who will be involved?
My parents will be involved by dropping me off and picking me up from the Humane
society for the Saturdays during the month I volunteer, and well as a supervisor who I
will be in contact with to coordinate the best times during the months to volunteer.
4) Reflection - what were your expectations? What did you hope to gain from this
experience? What did you learn? What are your next steps? How are the Learner
Profile attributes incorporated?
My expectation from this experience is that I will become more aware of problems many
animals have (over-population, abuse, abandonment etc.).
5) Demonstration what evidence will you use to show you have completed your
goals?

Pictures of me with working members of the Humane Society and animals, as well as
the supervisors signature (Supervisor of the Humane Society).
