Job Description of Landscape Architecture

Knowledge of the basic principles of architecture.

Knowledge of modern building construction methods and materials and
of the preparation of specifications.
Knowledge of the terminology, methods, practices, and techniques
of architectural drafting.
Knowledge of the principles and methods of surveying and inspecting
sites and buildings, preparatory to planning and designing.
Prepare architectural designs, plans, and specifications,
using AUTOCAD.
Prepare complex schematic drawings from rough sketches and
oral instructions.
Writing and presenting reports, proposals, applications and contracts.
Determining the materials to be used and specifying the requirements
for the project.
Adapting plans according to circumstances and resolving any related
problems that may arise during construction.
Making sure the project is running according to schedule and budget.
Traveling regularly to building sites, proposed locations and client
meetings.
