Investigation One: Presentation in Pairs 10%


Duration of Task- 3 weeks

Task: You are to prepare a 5-7 minute presentation about your chosen art
movement. With well-researched slides and supports you are to provide an insight
into the artworks, artists and the historical events that characterize your era. In your
presentation be as interactive as possible and engage your peers using a handout.

Materials: possible new technologies, mixed media, meanings
and messages: social & cultural comment, contemporary

TIME ALLOCTION: approx. 6 weeks

1. Take inspiration from the works of WA artist Alyce Goddard.


2. Go to http://www.alycegoddardgallery.com/art/
3. In the specified size, draft possible designs in your visual diary that
incorporate a portrait of someone that is known to you.
4. Your work must demonstrate a variety of mediums.
5. Include motifs that are symbolic to your chosen figure ie favourite rose
of your Grandma.
6. Once final design has been chosen transfer design onto canvas paper.
7. Apply materials neatly with an appropriate colour selection.
8. When complete put your signature in the right hand bottom corner and
leave to dry.
9. Hang with Velcro dots or similar to display.
