Located at key entry points into the province, Alberta's 10 Travel Alberta Visitor Information Centres welcome
thousands of travellers each year. Travel counsellors are knowledgeable on local and regional attractions,
experiences, events and destinations. They are also well informed on travel requirements and are ready to help
visitors organize their Alberta experience. A wealth of travel literature, maps, brochures and guides are available,
including free copies of the Official Alberta Travel Planner.

Located on south side of Hwy 1 on west end of Canmore service road

Crowsnest Pass (May-September)


Located on the south side of Hwy 3, 8 km west of Coleman and 6 km from the BC/AB border

Grande Prairie (May-September)


Located on the southeast side of Hwy 43 and the Junction of 106 Street

Field, BC (May-October)
Located on the south side of Hwy 1 at the entrance to Field, BC

Hinton (May-October)
Located on the south side of Hwy 16 in the commercial area

Lloyminster, SK (May-September)
Located on the north side of Hwy 16, 1 km east of Lloydminster

Milk River (May-October)


Located on the east side of Hwy 4, south of Milk River

Oyen (May-September)
Located at the intersection of Hwy 9 and Hwy 41, north of Oyen

Walsh (May-September)
Located on the north side of Hwy 1, 64 km east of Medicine Hat and 3 km west of the SK/AB border

West Glacier, MT (May-September)


Located on west side of the junction of Hwy 2 and Going-to-the-Sun Road (Logan Pass)

ALBERTA VISITOR INFORMATION PROVIDERS (AVIP)


There is a network of more than 100 community and regional visitor information centres across the province.
Programs are available to assist information providers with staff training and service excellence.

AVIP Program Describes the vision and mission of the AVIP program and all of the resources available for
community and regional visitor information centres

AVIP Accreditation Information Package Provides information for AVIP organizations that are interested in
becoming an accredited visitor information centre

Travel Publication Distribution Policy Provides important information for those Alberta tourism operators or
organizations who want to distribute their brochures/publications in the Travel Alberta Visitor Information Centres
and Accredited Community and Regional Visitor Information Centres. For the most up to date listing of all AVIP
