: The article, The Mass Media is adapted from
Essential Media Resources for Children. The article describes the type and
functions of mass media. The article also points out how to develop media
literacy by asking critical questions on the nature, source and type of
information.

Resource Material
: A PowerPoint presentation containing the logos and
names of different newspapers, magazines and channels, images for explaining
the meaning of difficult words.

media?
St: yes
The students are motivated.
Tr: ok. Then I will show you some
pictures. Try to identify them and tell
me about them.

the chapter.
Tr: now that you identified some of
the popular channels, newspapers
and magazines we will move on to a
chapter you have to study, The Mass
Media.
