Key Task: Year 9 Term 1

You have been asked by a French magazine to write an article about your opinions on television, cinema
and books. In your article, you’ll need to include the following information:
 Detailed information about your favourite programme, film and book with reasons
why
 Details about other programmes, films and books you like/dislike and why
 Interviews with a couple of your friends asking them which books, films and
programmes
they like and why
 Details about the last film and programmes you watched and the last book you read
 Details about the next film you’re going to watch and the next book you’re going to
read
You’ll need to make sure your work is eye-catching and colourful so that readers are drawn to it.

Level 6  I can use both the simple future and the passé compose in my work
 I can include a wide range of opinions and explain them in detail
 I can use a wide range of time markers to show past, present and future
 I can present my work in an attractive and sophisticated way
Level 7  I can use the conditional tense je voudrais + infinitive to describe what I’d like to
read/watch next
 I am beginning to use the imperfect tense in my work, eg. je lisais (I used to
read), je regardais (I used to watch)
 I can combine imperfect and present tenses to show changes, eg. Quand j’étais
petit(e) je lisait les livres de Roald Dahl, mais maintenant je lis les livres de J.K.
Rowling parce qu’ils sont passionnants et pleins de suspense
