Regional Singing Contest Rehearsals


The class is using a number of English periods (including science and art periods) to practice for the
Regional Singing Competition. Since many parts of our presentation have been changed, we would
need more time to practice within the next couple of weeks. Students may have to take on additional
homework and focus more in class so we could cover finish our lessons within the very limited time we
have due to the rehearsals.

Guidelines:
Dont MYTH out on the fun!

1.

Students should choose reading materials that are about any of the legends/stories on
Greek & Roman mythology and legends.
Example of readings in this genre are: Hercules, Helen of Troy, Percy Jackson series

2.

Students will submit a written book report and present an oral report as soon as the
number of hours and reading journals have been reached. The last week of presentation
is on Week 19, January 4-8.

3.

The students reading will be monitored regularly, using his/her Greek/Roman God
avatar going up the different layers of the atmosphere.

4.

Students who reach the required reading time and journal entries will receive a movie
pass and popcorn that could be used at the end of the semester.
