Session 1. Asias socio-economic profile: from quality to quantity


Is there an Asian development model? Can the Asian economy meet the
growing demands of the consumer class? How do the strategies of
countries in the region differ from each other, and can they be harmonized
at the regional level? What do the various pivots to Asia offer the region
itself? What would be an optimal from Asias perspective global
interdependence model?

Session 2. Security risks and neutralization strategies


What threats and conflicts are the most relevant for the region today?
What is the cause of the general rise of nationalism in the region and what
are the possible implications for Asia? What can be done to ease
tensions? Is it possible to stop the creeping shift of the center of global
confrontation from the Euro-Atlantic and the Middle East to the Asia Pacific
region? What role do foreign forces play, stabilizing or destabilizing?

Session 3. Asia for Russia and Russia for Asia


What is Asias perception of Russia? What should be done to overcome
the European stigma that colors perceptions of Russia in the region?
What forms of Russian involvement in regional affairs will Asian countries

the US that the majority of Asian countries are facing?
