Privacy Paper-Personal Concept
9/20/2015
To Me, Privacy Is a Big Concern
For me, the privacy is a space, where I can enjoy my life according to my will. I believe it
is my fundamental right to keep up privacy or freedom to some extent. Privacy means people do
not want to be sued or be inconvenient to tell people things. And others has nothing to do things
on their interests. The other words for privacy are seclusion and secrecy. According to law, the
following acts are an invasion of privacy: deprived of the citizen consent to reveal their name,
address, and telephone number; trespassing, searches others' houses, or otherwise destroy others
live peace. With the rise of technology, there are many types of privacy concerns about illegal
tracking, monitoring, installing recording equipment, and spying on others indoor situations. In
addition, TV shows like TMZ or many cheap newspapers try to intrusive with other couples sex
life, or its inquiry in order to make profit. Bad and smart people, hackers, are used to disclose
citizen's private things or made it public through social networking sites. To me, in today world,
personal privacy is solely like an economic interest, in which individuals information can be
bought and sold as a product in the market.
Definition of privacy is changing over time, due to the ethnic and cultural differences of
people's living habits. Privacy is essentially a very wide range of concepts, there is no one on the
privacy legislation or other documents make clear and specific definitions. These individual
views about privacy have been formed by my life experience, by my home life and living
conditions, education, and by my society and culture in which I brought up, nurtured and now a
part of .

So privacy generally refers to private life only with a particular person or personal
interests and the rights of people do not want to have contact for others to know. Private
information, privacy laws differ from country involved, which refers to the social life of men and
women about the secret, of course, belongs to the private part. I feel personal life information
and data such as: height, weight, measurements, medical history, physical defects, health status,
life experience, property status, marriage, family, hobbies, religion, psychological characteristics,
should not be accessed and used for intent purposes without ones consent.
I belonged to a middle class family. My parents first started as the farmers and opened a
business when I was 17 years old. The job we worked every day was too busy. We even did not
have a dinner with all familys members. Therefore, we did not talk much about how our lives
went each day. Indeed, I would be grounded or spanked if I talked to my parents about getting
bad grades, fighting with friends, or having a girlfriend. Moreover, I lived in a society where
joint family system was encouraged. We owned a big house where my grandparents along with
my uncle lived together in a same house. My father was the head of the family and I had two
siblings and two cousins. My brothers and I were used to study and sleep together in one room.
We shared almost everything we encountered from school to individuals life. Have you
eternally met somebody who is so open regarding everything that he or she demonstrates that old
said "My life is an open book?" I was not raised up that way. I essentially knew very little
regarding my parents' contextual, excluding what they wanted to share. We, their children, were
taught not ever to ask "personal query." Of course, I needed certain answers for the questions I
wondered. Therefore, chat rooms over the internet was the second place I would go to beside of
my brothers. In my time, the Yahoo IM was the best tool to chit chat with all kinds of people. It
gave individuals a certain sum of liberty to talk regarding themselves, reality or fiction, by the

considerate that few individuals, if any, essentially knew who the individual was behind the
display name. While chatting in this chat place, I had a relatively lengthy chat with somebody
namelessly. I could share thoughts, talk about a situation which I embarrassed, or most of the
thing I was scared to tell my parents.
I was the second favorite child of my family because I was good in studies and knew how
to help my parents. Since my childhood I liked to have my room or at least some space where I
could put all my things. I always needed a spare place to do my studies and at least had a
conversation with friends quietly. I felt a strong need to have a separate room when I was sixteen
years old, in which I could feel privacy. However, I was born in the society where the trend was
joint family system. Therefore, sharing with others was the best practice. Even though our house
was big, to have separate room for every individual was tough. Despite the fact that I shared
personal things to my brothers and having them to be around most of the time, it made me
appreciate the value of privacy and the need of my own place.
My group in high school had boys and girls of different religions and classes but I never
felt any discrimination. No one intended to ask about my parents, my siblings, my religious
practice or how much I was religious or not. Another important thing was my ethnicity or race. It
became another additional aspect I need to be conscious because I now live in the U.S, the
country of many ethnics. I feel it is by birth so I have no control over it. I have not decided about
my parents, siblings, my color, my race; these are by birth. Therefore, no one have any right to
discuss it since these are very personal and private things. Under the privacy to understand the
physical and the spiritual sphere, which is controlled by the individual, free from external
influence, i.e. a family and domestic sphere of the individual, the scope of its communication,

attitude to religion, off-duty employment, hobbies, and other spheres of relations, which the
person does not want to made public, unless required by law.
When I entered in my early twenties, I have realized the true meaning of privacy. Now I
feel spatial privacy is also very important. It is the privacy of dimension or space. Now we all
use latest technologies for socialization and communication. Modern information technologies
such as the Internet and mobile phones increase the uniqueness of the individual, which further
increases the problems of confidential information. Mobile data is the most important
information collected at this time. Mobile data contains the approximate location of a person and
can be used to restore its movement through space and time.
Now, I feel and completely understand the value of privacy not only at my home level
but also at broader levels. In all societies, they recognize the value of privacy in any of the areas,
but the social interest in the integrity is very different. Evaluation of privacy tends to be inversely
proportional to the size of institutionalized social responsibilities. A society in which vast social
cooperation, due to the complexity of survival in a harsh environment, will be less interested in
the privacy of its members. The social assessment of this concept thus depends on the perceived
balance between the benefits of joint public life like obtaining food or protection and victims
who need to bring for these benefits. The nature of such a balance varies in different societies
and changes over time. As the nowadays society I live on, I use all latest devices and rarely enjoy
them without keeping in mind about privacy.
Technology has transformed a lot even in my lifespan. I am old sufficient to look back
the days before the world-wide-web as well as mobile phones. Its becoming tougher and
tougher to consider that that time ever occurred. I can remember the first time I tried to open a
website; it didnt load correctly and quickly, and I thought it was the dumbest invention people

ever created. It was from the past experience, today it is the part of humans life. It does come at
a cost which is the growing ability of government as well as private organizations to seizure and
share vast amounts of data regarding private or public of citizens personal data. I like to use
Facebook, Twitter and other communication tools to talk to my friends or post a status online.
With the rise of governing and collecting users data, I am now mature enough that I can
understand what to share and whats not. Most of us dont appear to care too much. However, I
object to these, as I personally make a definition for it as stealing, of my privacy. With many
embarrassed news and exploits about governments and companies about collecting peoples data,
I understand that mine is not an exception. They will collect my private data without my consent
and later use it to serve their own purposes. We live in a world that privacy is said to be secured
and no one will have the right to touch it. To me, it is just a theoretical information; it is just a
shame fake. I guess they only try to make innocent people think they are fine so they will blindly
give up their own private data.
The concept of privacy includes the distinction between public and private spheres and
the most specific questions of control over personal information and privacy major decisions.
Individual elements of this concept are recognized as having a social value. In the case of
information about the private life of a person, as well as other information affecting the rights
and freedoms of citizen, any one is obliged to provide access to relevant documents and
materials with or without consent. Of course, I cant express that this data sharing is deprived of
benefits. We must entirely give up a rational amount of our privacy to allow us to fight alongside
crime and to permit us to move effortlessly over the days in a multi-faces society. What I express
is that the balance is incorrect and abused; that our data is being composed to deal with unclear
and insubstantial fears by governments and mined data by ill-regulated commercial organizations

whose purposes are indistinct. Privacy is a prerequisite to a life of excellence and likewise at the
root of liberty. I think its significant to fight back anywhere one can.
