Red Lake tribal police officers shot and killed a Red Lake, Minn., resident on Wednesday while serving a search
warrant, the Minneapolis FBI said today.
Louis W. Barrett Jr., 20, of Red Lake, was pronounced dead at North Country Regional Hospital after the
shooting.
The Minneapolis FBI office said tribal police officers apparently shot Barrett while they were serving a search
warrant at a Circle Pines area residence in the Little Rock District of the northern Minnesota reservation.
The FBI didn't name the officers involved in the shooting, but said it is conducting an investigation of the incident.
