Call to Order: A regular meeting of the Board of Directors, Sutherland Springs Condominium Association
was held at Jenkinss condominium on November 24, 2014. The meeting convened at 6:30 pm.,
President Norm Thurkettle presiding; Julie Sweers, Secretary. !

Agenda: The agenda for the meeting was approved.!

A. VanBeek presented the balance sheet and profit and loss statements. !

Motion: Moved by Bava and seconded to accept the treasurers report.!

companies that provided bids should the winters snow total require us to intervene.!

C. Report on window issues; Company representative examined and worked to remedy a co-!

owners issues.!

D. Bids on bark for the spring: Decision on which vendor to employ will be made at the !

January meeting.!

The board continued to examine the report produced by the grounds rules committee to !

develop a document which will ultimately be presented to co-owners.!

A. Discussion of email addresses and privacy issues!

B. Review of board policies!

List of all policies that the association has set to be compiled in the future into a booklet !

for all residents.!

C. Winter absences of board members discussed for scheduling purposes!

D. Permission to own dogs and amend the bylaws!
!

Motion: Moved by Thurkettle and seconded that the association allow a bylaw ! !

amendment to be voted on at the annual association meeting regarding the pet policy.!

Motion: Moved by Thurkettle and seconded that the association hire a bookkeeper to !

maintain the associations books separate from the responsibilities of the boards !

Board directed Thurkettle to develop a job description for the position.!

A. Reminder about dues increase:!

Residents are reminded that beginning January 1, 2015, SSCA dues will increase to !

$225.00.!
!
B. Reminder: Owners are reminded that all outdoor patio furniture must be stored indoors during
!
!
the winter per the association bylaws. !
!
C. Reminder: All garden hoses must be disconnected for the winter.!
!
D. Sump pump: Residents were asked last month to check to see that their sump pumps are in !
!
!
running order. We have not heard from many residents. To test the pump, pour several !
!
!
buckets of water down the drain until the pump turns on. Please notify Jack Wabeke to !
!
!
report on your pumps status. if you have problems with the sump pumps operation or in !
!
!
running the water to the sump pump, please call !Wabeke ASAP. !
!
E. Residents leaving for the winter:!
!
!
Residents who will be gone for longer than a month are asked to notify Dave VanBeek !
!
!
so that the association can stop trash pickup for those units which will allow the ! !
!
!
association to save money.!
