What is ISM?
Ism is an acronym for independent student mentorship.
Every week a minimum of 2-3 hours must be documented with the mentor.
Along with the documented mentorship hours a journal entry must also be
completed.
At the end of the semester a final presentation and a tangible item must be
presented to share what was learned.

Divorce Process
First, a petition for divorce must be filed.
Second, is a temporary hearing.
Third, is mediation.
If mediation becomes contested the divorce will go to court.
A contested divorce takes longer than an uncontested divorce.
Fourth, a parenting class is required.
Fifth, the experts are called out.
Finally, settlement occurs.
The Judge
In a contested divorce, the decisions normally made by the ex spouses go into the
hands of the judge.
Divorce Discovery then takes place. It is the process in which information from both
spouses and third parties is collected.
The judge will ultimately decide where the child will permanently reside in a
contested divorce.
A term called joint management conservatorship is used to describe the rights of
the parents of both parties.
