Reflection Paper on Project Three

My experience in completing project three was more complex than any other
project I have done. Throughout my rhetorical analysis I was required to use
strategies that I never used before such as ethical, logical, and emotional
appeals. Each strategy required me to breakdown an argument and explain
the message that the author is trying to convey. I also had to make a claim
which was the most difficult part of this project. A claim is determining if the
author is being effective or ineffective in achieving its purpose to persuade
the reader or audience. Once I made my claim I then had to use the ethical
(ethos), pathos (emotional), and logical (logos) to support my reasons. The
goal of this project was to help me be able to demonstrate how to breakdown
a rhetorical analysis by using other strategies like interpretation, synthesis,
response, critique, and restructuring ideas to integrate the writers purpose.
The diversity in learning how to use and interpret using key rhetorical
concepts was a complex goal for me throughout the argument. Analyzing,
composing a variety of text, and developing flexible strategies for reviewing
project three greatly helped me organize my paper. In conclusion, by paying
attention to my particular goals, and breaking them down by using my three
main appeal I managed to complete and gain a variety of strategies I can use
in my future rhetorical analysis projects.
